This latest one is for people enrolled in the PSLF program, with the administration saying it will help teachers, nurses, and firefighters.<\/p>\n<p>Student loans have been a major point of focus for Biden during his time in the White House. He has announced plans and programs that would cost more than $1 trillion combined, only to see much of it clawed back by courts ruling he can&rsquo;t make such moves without Congress. <\/p>\n<p>Most notably, the Supreme Court in June 2023 ruled against a program that would have transferred at least $400 billion from individual loan holders to taxpayers. But Biden has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2708513\/three-times-biden-forgave-student-loan-debt-despite-supreme-court-ruling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"pressed forward\">pressed forward<\/a> with new initiatives since, many of which have also been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3177095\/biden-student-loan-plan-back-hold-one-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"pressed forward\">blocked<\/a> in court.<\/p>\n<p>Biden met last week with a kindergarten teacher who had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/not-everything-has-to-go-through-congress-elizabeth-warren-wants-biden-to-be-more-authoritarian-axe-student-debt\/\" title=\"\u2018Not Everything Has To Go Through Congress\u2019: Elizabeth Warren Wants Biden To Be More Authoritarian, Axe Student Debt\">paying student loans<\/a> for 12 years and let her know she was receiving forgiveness totaling more than $46,000.
