The sheriff had previously suggested on Facebook that residents with\u2063 signs supporting Vice President Kamala Harris should be tracked, implying possible intimidation. Zuchowski <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sheriffzuchowski\/posts\/pfbid02Ux1ebzfvmZ9GvogMMkk2LRVm241Jjn8dRAAB8etpoKhQ66WgdNiz7Qdc4ZKzGsojl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"later\">later<\/a> claimed that the post had been &ldquo;a little misinterpreted.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-kraken-released-attorney-sidney-powell-files-104-page-bombshell-complaint-of-massive-fraud-in-georgia-election-update-michigan-too\/\" title=\"BREAKING: KRAKEN RELEASED! On Tuesday, the DOJ said it would be monitoring compliance of federal voting laws in the county during early voting and on Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Voters in Portage County have raised concerns about intimidation resulting from the surveillance and the collection of personal information regarding voters, as well as threats concerning the electoral process. Attempted or actual intimidation, threats or coercion directed toward any person for voting and related activities or urging or aiding others in voting is prohibited by Section 11(b) of the Voting Rights Act of 1965,&rdquo; the Justice Department said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oregon-governor-encourages-people-to-call-police-on-neighbors-violating-covid-orders\/\" title=\"Oregon Governor Encourages People To Call Police On Neighbors Violating COVID Orders\">county sheriff&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s office <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/ohio-sheriff-harris-yard-signs-justice-department-279b00173bac36f4547f5ae69fe62403\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"told\">told<\/a> the<em> Associated Press<\/em> Tuesday that &ldquo;monitoring of voting locations\/polls by the DOJ is conducted nationwide and is not unique to Portage County. This is a normal practice by the DOJ.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Early voting in Ohio began earlier this month and continues through Nov. 3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/election-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Election Day<\/a> in the state and nationwide is Nov. 5.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio is rated as &ldquo;solid Republican&rdquo; for the presidential race by the <em>Cook Political Report<\/em>, after voting for former President Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020, but it will have one of the most hotly contested Senate races, between Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Republican Bernie Moreno.
