This documentary highlights the findings of Lauren Bis from PILF, who visited these establishments to verify\u200d the\u2064 residency of individuals listed on voter rolls, as state\u2062 law \u200drequires voters to provide their actual residence \u2062address, explicitly prohibiting \u2062business addresses.<\/p>\n<p>Among the \u200dreported cases, Bis discovered that many \u2063registered individuals\u2064 did not actually \u2064reside at these commercial\u2064 addresses. For instance, when asking staff at \u2062a gas\u200c station and a bar about patrons listed\u2063 as voters, the workers confirmed that these individuals \u2063did not live there;\u200c one \u2062worked at the bar but did not reside there. PILF has alerted Arizona election officials about\u200d these\u2064 discrepancies since before the \u200b2020 election, yet no\u2062 actions\u2063 have been taken to resolve the issue.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation comes amid \u2063ongoing concerns regarding the integrity of Arizona&#8217;s voter rolls, which have\u200b been plagued \u200cby problems. Recently, it\u2064 was revealed that nearly 218,000 individuals on\u200c the state&#8217;s \u200cvoter rolls lack the necessary documentary proof of citizenship\u200b to\u2062 be eligible voters in state and local elections, raising further questions about the accuracy and\u200d reliability of the\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-puts-susan-rice-in-charge-of-effort-to-expand-vote-by-mail\/\" title=\"Biden Puts Susan Rice in Charge of Effort to Expand Vote by Mail\">voter registration process<\/a> in Arizona. A lawsuit has been filed \u2064against state officials for allegedly obstructing requests for more\u2062 information on these irregularities.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>An election integrity watchdog group&rsquo;s investigation has found numerous Arizona voters whose registered address on the voter rolls belongs to a commercial establishment. <\/p>\n<p>Published on Tuesday, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xM7ckuqgBcI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">documentary<\/a> follows the Public Interest Legal Foundation&rsquo;s (PILF) Lauren Bis as she visits bars, gas stations, and other venues listed as the residence for individuals on Arizona&rsquo;s voter rolls. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/ars\/16\/00152.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">State law<\/a> mandates that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/virginia-democrat-governor-candidate-touts-endorsement-from-group-that-committed-voter-fraud-supports-defunding-police\/\" title=\"Virginia Democrat Governor Candidate Touts Endorsement From Group That Committed Voter Fraud, Supports Defunding Police\">voter registration forms<\/a> contain a &ldquo;registrant&rsquo;s actual place of residence,&rdquo; which is to include their &ldquo;street name and number, apartment or space number, city or town and zip code, or such description of the location of the residence that it can be readily ascertained or identified.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>These <a href=\"https:\/\/azsos.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/docs\/az_voter_registration_form_standard_20240613.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">registration forms<\/a> specifically prohibit individuals from listing a Post Office box or business address as their registered address.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Public Interest Legal Foundation has found and inspected hundreds of commercial addresses where people are registered to vote from in Arizona,&rdquo; Bis said. &ldquo;Some of these addresses include an abortion clinic, gas stations, liquor stores, vacant lots, a high school, a smoke shop, gun shop, fast food chain, strip clubs, golf courses, and bars.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>One instance highlighted in the documentary shows Bis purchasing a bottle of water at what appears to be a gas station. While paying, she asked the cashier if she knows whether &ldquo;Josie [last name redacted] lives here.&rdquo; After asking Bis to repeat the name, the cashier looking baffled, shook her head.<\/p>\n<p>Are you asking if &ldquo;she works here?&rdquo; the cashier probed, to which Bis replied, &ldquo;Lives here. This is the address I had for her.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a business,&rdquo; the cashier said. <\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Voting from Arizona Businesses\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xM7ckuqgBcI?feature=oembed&amp;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>&ldquo;PILF has been notifying Arizona election officials about problems on the Arizona voter rolls since before the 2020 election. Four years later, and the state has done nothing to fix the problem,&rdquo; Bis told viewers.<\/p>\n<p>Another questionable registration documented in the investigation belongs to a man with the first name James whose listed address is reportedly linked to a bar. Upon venturing into the establishment, Bis asked a waitress about whether James lives there. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Lives here? No,&rdquo; the server said. &ldquo;He does work here. But I don&rsquo;t think he&rsquo;s here right now.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READNEXT:[READNEXT:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/11\/william-sitton-doesnt-live-here-tracking-nevadas-dirty-voter-rolls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">William Sitton Doesn&rsquo;t Live Here: Tracking Nevada&rsquo;s Dirty Voter Rolls<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for Arizonans concerned about the integrity of the state&rsquo;s elections, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/from-dead-registrants-to-inactive-mail-voters-complaints-highlight-michigans-voter-roll-mess\/\" title=\"Michigan Voter Roll Issues: From Deceased Registrants to Inactive Mail Voters\">voter roll issues<\/a> have become a prominent problem in recent years. <\/p>\n<p>Last month, Democrat Secretary of State Adrian Fontes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/18\/arizona-finds-100000-voters-lacking-citizenship-proof-on-wrong-list-after-catching-noncitizen-on-voter-rolls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">revealed<\/a>&nbsp;officials had discovered approximately 98,000 registrants on the voter rolls lacking documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC). Arizonans&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/01\/12\/elon-musk-rightly-says-arizona-doesnt-verify-federal-voter-citizenship-but-the-feds-dont-let-them\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">must show<\/a>&nbsp;DPOC when registering via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/court-affirms-arizonas-need-to-keep-noncitizens-off-voter-rolls-but-makes-it-harder-to-do-so\/\" title=\"Court upholds Arizona&#039;s voter roll restrictions for noncitizens, but raises barriers\">state registration form<\/a> in order to cast ballots in state and local races. Those who do not provide DPOC when registering may do so as a &ldquo;federal-only&rdquo; voter and cast ballots in federal races.<\/p>\n<p>An additional 120,000 registrants lacking DPOC were reportedly&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/01\/oops-arizona-discovers-an-additional-120k-registered-voters-lacking-proof-of-citizenship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">discovered<\/a>&nbsp;weeks later, bringing the total of such voters to 218,000. Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona (SCFA), a conservative grassroots organization, has since&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/04\/lawsuit-arizonas-elections-chief-is-hiding-info-on-218k-voters-lacking-proof-of-citizenship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filed a lawsuit<\/a>&nbsp;against Fontes and the Arizona Department of State, alleging they &ldquo;are stonewalling and have unlawfully refused to fulfill&rdquo; its request for the list of these individuals.<\/p>\n<p>In court proceedings on Tuesday, Fontes&rsquo; attorney Craig Morgan reportedly argued that releasing the list of names before the November election would, as the Arizona Daily Star <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/j7MUu#selection-4167.191-4167.218\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">described<\/a>, &ldquo;lead to voter intimidation.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Morgan said he does not doubt that the final list of names &mdash; and he said there really isn&rsquo;t a fully vetted list yet &mdash; will be a public record,&rdquo; the outlet reported. &ldquo;But Morgan said there are reasons not to force Fontes to produce the list right now, before the election, contending Strong Communities &lsquo;or people affiliated with it&rsquo; will abuse it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>America First Legal (AFL) Attorney James Rogers, whose organization is representing SCFA in the case, rejected such an argument, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/j7MUu#selection-4479.4-4479.144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saying<\/a> Morgan&rsquo;s &ldquo;insinuation&rdquo; is baseless.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Our client does voter outreach all the time,&rdquo; Rogers said. &ldquo;Never been a single complaint &hellip; Our client and none of our client&rsquo;s volunteers have ever done the kind of things that he&rsquo;s talking, as far as we&rsquo;re aware.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The AFL attorney further contended that Fontes does not have a &ldquo;right to hold that list to tell us if there&rsquo;s a problem and not let anyone see it or do any outside vetting on it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
