Any attempt by Iran to harm the former president would be considered an &ldquo;act of war,&rdquo; U.S. officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us-warns-iran-stop-plotting-against-trump-says-us-official-2024-10-15\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said on Monday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Joe Biden<\/a> has been provided regular assessments and briefings on Iran&rsquo;s looming threats. He has reportedly directed officials to formulate strategies for any potential Iranian threats against Trump or any other American, <em>Reuters<\/em> reported. This included notifying high-level government officials in Tehran to &ldquo;cease all plotting against Trump and former U.S. officials.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The revelation of Iran&rsquo;s threats against Trump comes as tensions between the countries have reached their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-weekly-jobless-claims-fall-to-712000\/\" title=\"U.S. Weekly Jobless Claims Fall to 712,000\">highest level<\/a> in several years. These Iranian threats were discussed during Rep. Michael Waltz&rsquo;s appearance on Fox News&rsquo;s <em>The Story with Martha MacCallum <\/em>on Monday, the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> previously <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3188920\/michael-waltz-iran-trump-dead-military-plane-protection\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I am hearing that there is hand-wringing within the administration about the validity of the threat, and my point is even if it&rsquo;s only 5% possibility, the &hellip; gosh, I mean, how this would tear the country apart, the catastrophic effect,&rdquo; Waltz said during his segment with guest host Gillian Turner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This would be an act of war, and America would come apart at the seams. And look, Gillian, public service should not be a death sentence,&rdquo; Waltz declared. &ldquo;We need to give him every asset. The administration said President Trump has the same level of security as Biden and Harris. Biden and Harris are flying in military planes with all of their defenses, we need the same for President Trump too, to match this unprecedented threat.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Iran has denied knowing of any such plot and rebuffed accusations of interfering in U.S. affairs, <em>Reuters<\/em> reported. The country did, however, accuse the U.S. of meddling in Iran&rsquo;s affairs multiple times over the last 70 years, starting with a 1953 coup against a prime minister in Iran and the 2020 drone strike that killed Qasem Soleimani, an Iranian general.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite the country&rsquo;s denial, U.S. officials claimed to have been tracking potential assassination attempts against Trump for years, according to reports.
