The event highlighted the \u2062innovative potential\u200d of the Starship, designed for rapid re-launch within \u2064an hour.<\/p>\n<p>While Musk enjoys support from NASA for \u2062his ventures, he faces considerable obstacles due to political pushback,\u2062 particularly \u2062from some California \u2064bureaucrats. \u200cRecently, the California Coastal Commission denied SpaceX&#8217;s\u200b request to\u200b increase launch \u2063activities, citing Musk&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-political-activism-and-influence-of-bill-gates\/\" title=\"The Political Activism And Influence of Bill Gates\">controversial political statements<\/a> as part of the reason for their decision. But while the Spanish were supportive of the 15th-century explorer&rsquo;s Atlantic expedition, Elon Musk has faced a cascade of administrative lawfare aimed at thwarting the latest pioneers of human progress.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, SpaceX successfully captured a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spacex.com\/vehicles\/starship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">250-ton<\/a> reusable rocket booster for the company&rsquo;s Starship, which is destined to carry crew and cargo to &ldquo;the Moon, Mars and beyond.&rdquo; After jetting an arc over the Gulf of Mexico from the southern coastal tip of Texas, the first-stage booster flew back to the launch pad seven minutes later and landed in the tower.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[A] Big step towards making life multiplanetary was made today,&rdquo; Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1845463518671466934\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote <\/a>on X, the online platform formerly known as Twitter, which the billionaire executive has transformed to save free speech.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The episode marked a triumph of innovation with the successful test of the world&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/spacex-pulls-off-unprecedented-feat-grabbing-descending-rocket-with-mechanical-arms\/#:~:text=The%20two%2Dstage%20Super%20Heavy,Space%20Launch%20System%20moon%20rocket.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most powerful rocket<\/a>, which is designed to be refueled and ready for re-launch within an hour. Commissioners cited Musk&rsquo;s political commentary as the reason for denying the company permission to ramp up activity.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Elon Musk is hopping about the country, spewing and tweeting political falsehoods and attacking FEMA while claiming his desire to help the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/you-loot-we-shoot-desantis-warns-criminals-not-to-target-hurricane-victims\/\" title=\"\u2018You Loot, We Shoot\u2019: DeSantis Warns Criminals Not to Target Hurricane Victims\">hurricane victims<\/a> with free Starlink access to the internet,&rdquo; said Democrat Commissioner Gretchen Newsom at a meeting in San Diego.<\/p>\n<p>Musk, who <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/07\/elon-musk-this-will-be-the-last-election-if-harris-wins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spoke<\/a> at former President Donald Trump&rsquo;s most recent rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, shared Federalist <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/01\/biden-harris-admin-used-fema-disaster-funding-for-illegal-immigrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reporting<\/a> earlier this month when amplifying a post from Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, about the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) spending millions on illegal immigrants. FEMA allocated nearly $364 million in the 2023 fiscal year and $650 million for the 2024 fiscal year to the &ldquo;Shelter and Services Program&rdquo; to &ldquo;provide humanitarian services to noncitizen migrants following their release from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS),&rdquo; according to the agency&rsquo;s own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fema.gov\/grants\/shelter-services-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Biden-Harris administration took more than a billion tax dollars that had been allocated to FEMA for disaster relief and used it to house illegal aliens,&rdquo; Jordan wrote in an Oct. 3 post, which Musk reposted.
