The records purportedly show the &ldquo;No on 2&rdquo; campaign &mdash; which is aiming to prevent the measure&rsquo;s passage this November &mdash; has &ldquo;raised more than $12 million,&rdquo; while the campaign behind the initiative has only brought in $120,000. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-afe0eaaac70eb6bc772c6cbe964fdcf2 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-afe0eaaac70eb6bc772c6cbe964fdcf2\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alaskawatchman.com\/2024\/08\/22\/alaska-supreme-court-rejects-move-to-block-voters-from-repealing-ranked-choice-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Approved<\/a> for ballot access by the Alaska Supreme Court in August after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/politics\/2024\/08\/22\/alaskans-will-vote-on-whether-to-repeal-ranked-choice-voting-under-supreme-court-decision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lengthy court battle<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Alaska_Ballot_Measure_2,_Repeal_Top-Four_Ranked-Choice_Voting_Initiative_(2024)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ballot Measure 2<\/a> seeks to repeal the state&rsquo;s RCV system, which voters <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Alaska_Ballot_Measure_2,_Top-Four_Ranked-Choice_Voting_and_Campaign_Finance_Laws_Initiative_(2020)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">narrowly<\/a> adopted during the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>Under <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/ranked-choice-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ranked-choice voting<\/a>, electors rank candidates of all parties in order of preference. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of first-choice votes in the first round of voting, the last-place finisher is eliminated, and his votes are reallocated to the voter&rsquo;s second-choice candidate. This process continues until one candidate receives a majority of votes.<\/p>\n<p>RCV has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/10\/31\/ranked-choice-voting-is-the-monster-under-the-bed-of-american-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">largely<\/a>&nbsp;been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/15\/communists-cheer-ranked-choice-voting-as-a-weapon-for-defeating-conservatives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pushed<\/a>&nbsp;by Democrats as a way of winning traditionally Republican seats and has regularly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/06\/watch-how-ranked-choice-voting-complicates-elections-and-disenfranchises-voters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">produced<\/a> inaccurate election results and high rates of discarded ballots.<\/p>\n<p>In Alaska, for example, Democrat Mary Peltola&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/11\/ranked-choice-voting-keeps-rigging-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">won<\/a>&nbsp;the state&rsquo;s 2022 special congressional race even though &ldquo;nearly 60 percent of voters [cast] their ballots for a Republican.&rdquo;&nbsp;The system is also chiefly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/02\/14\/after-ranked-choice-voting-rigged-their-elections-alaska-conservatives-fight-to-reclaim-democracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">responsible<\/a>&nbsp;for ensuring GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski&rsquo;s reelection over a more conservative challenger during the midterms later that year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-dcea4091c96505f731d468c157d6b5af fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-dcea4091c96505f731d468c157d6b5af\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>[RELATED:[RELATED:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/05\/democrats-are-weaponizing-dark-money-and-ballot-initiatives-to-turn-red-states-blue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Democrats Are Weaponizing Dark Money And Ballot Initiatives To Turn Red States Blue<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Alaska Beacon, &ldquo;The vast majority of the $12 million raised by the pro ranked choice group No on 2 came from out of state.&rdquo; Among the &ldquo;top three contributors&rdquo; to the campaign are Unite America, Article IV, and Action Now Initiative LLC. <\/p>\n<p>Unite America is a &ldquo;political organization &hellip; that supports moderate-left candidates for elective office and advocates for changes in laws affecting the election process that [it] claims will benefit centrist candidates but that are also supported by left-of-center and radical-left interests,&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/political-party\/unite-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InfluenceWatch<\/a>. Many of the individuals affiliated with the organization are prominent supporters of Democrat candidates and causes. <\/p>\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/action-now-initiative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InfluenceWatch<\/a>, the Action Now Initiative is &ldquo;a center-left advocacy nonprofit&rdquo; founded by left-wing financial contributors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/person\/john-d-arnold\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Laura and John Arnold<\/a>, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/laura-and-john-arnold-foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">foundation<\/a> of the same name has reportedly given money to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-signs-memorandum-backpedaling-on-president-trumps-abortion-policies\/\" title=\"Joe Biden signs memorandum backpedaling on President Trump\u2019s abortion policies\">pro-abortion groups<\/a> like Planned Parenthood.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4323ff544a807b43049ae93beb3363c2 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4323ff544a807b43049ae93beb3363c2\"><\/div>\n<p>While Article IV&rsquo;s website offers little information about the group&rsquo;s leadership, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.causeiq.com\/organizations\/article-iv,862820532\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">financial records<\/a> indicate it has supported pro-RCV efforts in states such as Utah and Oregon in years prior and received $433,108 from the Hopewell Fund in 2022. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/hopewell-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InfluenceWatch<\/a>, the Hopewell Fund &ldquo;manages a number of left-of-center single-issue advocacy groups&rdquo; and is a prominent arm of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/for-profit\/arabella-advisors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arabella Advisors dark-money network<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The wave of out-of-state left-wing dark money flooding Alaska&rsquo;s elections is hardly exclusive to The Last Frontier State or RCV.<\/p>\n<p>A Ballotpedia analysis <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Daily_Brew:_October_2,_2024?_wcsid=3323A6CD39600E352E368EF96E6A7D63&amp;_wcsid=F9A3A3AC7EA74F633E7911DD397C421423E9DEE79F547D2B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">published<\/a> last week revealed that pro-abortion political action committees are outspending their opposition to pass baby-killing amendments in key states throughout the country this fall.
