The lawsuit claims that the EPA exceeded its congressional authority with the regulation with targets that rely too heavily on electrification. The other states&rsquo; corn associations involved in the lawsuit include Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This Biden-Harris EPA regulation will ban most new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/3-recent-failures-of-green-energy-policies\/\" title=\"3 Recent Failures of Green Energy Policies\">gas-powered cars<\/a>, harming consumers, our economy and our national security in the process,&rdquo; said AFPM President Chet Thompson.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Illinois Farm Bureau has also contacted the EPA, noting the tailpipe emissions standards would effectively incentivize and force the auto industry to prioritize further development of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-joins-other-states-in-recent-announcements-to-incentivize-electric-vehicle-production\/\" title=\"Georgia Joins Other States in Recent Announcements to Incentivize Electric Vehicle Production\">electric vehicle battery technology<\/a> over liquid fuel alternatives, like corn-based ethanol and soy-based biodiesel.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/house-joint-resolution\/136\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>resolution<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;that passed the House now heads to the Democratic-controlled Senate.
