The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/carson-points-out-that-every-democratic-plan-has-backfired-in-trumps-favor-as-seen-in-the-bible-2\/\" title=\"Carson points out that every Democratic plan has backfired in Trump&#039;s favor, as seen in the Bible\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">vice president<\/a>&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s responses frequently didn&rsquo;t answer Whitaker&rsquo;s questions, and she often lacked substance or insight.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In one exchange, Whitaker asked Harris about the Biden-Harris administration&rsquo;s reversal on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/terror-suspects-caught-crossing-mexico-border\/\" title=\"Terror Suspects Caught Crossing Mexico Border\">border security policy<\/a> only after a record number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/illegal-immigrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>illegal immigrants<\/a> had entered the country. He particularly noted immigration policy from the first years of the administration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Was it a mistake to loosen the immigration policies as much as you did?&rdquo; he asked. &ldquo;What I was asking was, was it a mistake to kind of allow that flood to happen in the first place?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think the policies that we have been proposing are about fixing a problem, not promoting a problem,&rdquo; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;OK, but the numbers did quadruple,&rdquo; Whittaker pushed.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And the numbers today because of what we have done, we have cut the flow of illegal immigration by half,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;We have cut the flow of fentanyl by half, but we need Congress to be able to act to actually fix the problem.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But Harris was not an answer to Whitaker&rsquo;s question and many people took note. Social media platforms were rife with comments mocking and ridiculing Harris&rsquo;s answers for what many considered a flubbed response.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) noted Harris&rsquo;s reply on immigration. He criticized the vice president on X and cited her inability to answer directly.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;WATCH: 60 Minutes grills Kamala on why the Biden admin waited 3 years to act on illegal crossings,&rdquo; Hunt <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/wesleyhunttx\/status\/1843462546382360789?s=46\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a>. &ldquo;Harris dodges, blames Trump (shocker), and pivots to an amnesty bill, but never explains the 3-year delay during record chaos.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And DON&rsquo;T forget: 1.9M gotaways,&rdquo; Hunt added.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin also noted Harris never answered Whitaker&rsquo;s question. He provided additional factual details to correspond with the vice president&rsquo;s non-answer.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Harris never actually answers the question as to why they waited 3 years to attempt to stop the chaos at the executive level,&rdquo; Melugin <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/billmelugin_\/status\/1843460254840864823?s=46\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a> on social media. &ldquo;And a reminder about those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-return-of-the-masters-brings-a-sense-of-normalcy\/\" title=\"The Return Of The Masters Brings A Sense Of Normalcy\">record setting numbers<\/a>, they do not include the more than 1.9 million known gotaways who were recorded entering the U.S. without apprehension. Gotaways under Biden\/Harris in 3 years were higher than the prior decade of Trump + Obama &ndash; combined and there were times when entire chunks of the border were left completely unmanned to focus resources on processing\/mass catch &amp; release instead.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Editor and journalist Ramesh Ponnuru also commented about Harris&rsquo;s interview. He took note of her empty response.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;On 60 Minutes, Whitaker asks three times if it was a mistake for the administration to loosen border policy as much as it did,&rdquo; Ponnuru <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/rameshponnuru\/status\/1843445850556739819?s=46\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a>. &ldquo;No answer from Harris.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Political commentator and talk show host Jesse Watters also discussed the interview during a segment on his show, <em>Jesse Watters Primetime.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Kamala Harris&rsquo;s media blitz is already bombing. <em>60 Minutes<\/em> just grilled her on immigration. She had nothing,&rdquo; Watters said before showing a clip of Harris&rsquo;s answers on immigration from the interview.<\/p>\n<p>Former congressional candidate Fred Von Canon was also critical of Harris&rsquo;s interview. He commended Whitaker for his professionalism and &ldquo;real questions.&rdquo; He claimed that the vice president&rsquo;s flubbed responses were indicative of why Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump, was going to win the upcoming election.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Bill Whitaker with 60 Minutes is the only journalist who has asked Harris or Walz any real questions,&rdquo; Canon <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/fredvoncanon\/status\/1843501178182582333?s=46\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a> on X. &ldquo;Not gotcha questions; just real ones. In so doing, he has made it clear how vacuous both Harris and Walz are. Have said this for months: Trump will win and it won&rsquo;t be close.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Journalist Andy Ngo claimed that the vice president was temperamental in her response to Whitaker&rsquo;s questions on immigration. Ngo sensed hostility from Harris.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In a rare sit-down interview, Kamala Harris is asked by 60 Minutes&rsquo; Bill Whitaker why her administration with Biden opened the floodgates of mass migration by undoing the policies the Trump admin had in place,&rdquo; Ngo <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mrandyngo\/status\/1843469474940469505?s=46\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a> on X. &ldquo;Harris becomes hostile in the interview.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There were many other similar posts on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Harris&rsquo;s appearance on <em>60 Minutes<\/em> appeared to be part of her campaign&rsquo;s new strategy to increase media appearances during the last weeks before the Nov. 5 election.
