He stepped offstage and had a protein bar and some Coke and came back to debate five minutes later.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-cbs-news-missed-6-lies-tim-walz-told-vp-debate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">debate<\/a>, Bashaw called for sensible immigration policy and strong support for Israel, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northjersey.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2024\/10\/07\/andy-kim-curtis-bashaw-nj-senate-debate\/75549102007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bergen Record.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s terrible to demonize any group. We are a land of immigrants. We welcome them. It just needs to be legal, orderly, and the border whole back door needs to be closed.
