He had reportedly spent a day and a half cleaning the walls of the apartment before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/teen-carly-gregg-melts-gets-slapped-life-prison-killing-mom-chilling-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deadly incident<\/a> happened.<\/p>\n<p>Gray was not a stranger to the Jimersons, as he was a neighbor.<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Jimerson claimed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-witness-caught-lying-lawyer-nicolae-mius-self-defense-trial-situation-left-5-people-stabbed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">self defense<\/a> and was released one day after his arrest by King County District Court Judge Michele Gehlsen. She set his bond at $50,000, much less than the $2 million requested by the prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>Despite concerning details brought forward by police, Jimerson has not been ordered to undergo any monitoring. There is practically nothing beyond his future court appearance keeping him from fleeing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/chinese-man-goes-horrific-stabbing-rampage-day-care-zurich-police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Police<\/a> said this is clearly not a case of self defense.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/if-you-can-hear-this-message-evacuate-now-audio-warning-broadcast-ahead-explosion-in-nashville-video\/\" title=\"\u201cIf You Can Hear This Message, Evacuate Now\u201d \u2013 Audio Warning Broadcast Ahead Explosion in Nashville (VIDEO)\">surveillance video<\/a> from the scene showed the 19-year-old Jimerson chasing the handyman down and battering his head from behind with a large wooden club.<\/p>\n<p>They said Jimerson then ran to grab a knife before fatally wounding Gray inside the home.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses saw Gray bleeding and Jimerson holding the bloodied knife.
