He criticized President Joe Biden for not \u200cintervening, suggesting that the \u2063president could use the federal Taft-Hartley Act\u200c to temporarily \u2064halt the strike. Scalise argued that the strike will have detrimental effects\u200b on\u2064 American families, further\u200d contributing to inflation and economic hardships. He pointed out that some dockworkers earn significant salaries, questioning the need for further concessions. And this will add even more to inflation. Scalise also said he would not support any legislation that would ban automation for port workers, claiming the workers want to &ldquo;go back to the <em>Flintstones<\/em>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The House majority leader was also critical of Biden&rsquo;s handling of containing Iran even after the country <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/3172703\/iran-missiles-toward-israel-retaliatory-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>launched roughly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel<\/a>.
