<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>abortion law<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>Carr, a Republican, is asking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Georgia&rsquo;s Supreme Court<\/a> to reinstate the six-week abortion ban while the court reviews the state&rsquo;s appeal.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">People gather in Downtown Atlanta on Friday, June 24, 2022, to protest to protest the Supreme Court&rsquo;s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade<\/em> in 2022 violates women&rsquo;s rights to privacy and liberty under the state&rsquo;s constitution.<\/p>\n<p>Carr&rsquo;s appeal goes straight to the state&rsquo;s highest court due to the challenge of the abortion laws&rsquo; constitutionality. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">In this Jan. 13, 2020, file photo, Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr speaks at the state capitol in Atlanta. Wade<\/em>, Georgia allowed abortions until fetal viability, which is roughly 22 to 24 weeks of pregnancy.
