(AP Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve said it once, and we&rsquo;ll say it again: the Iranian regime is dangerous, destructive, and one of the greatest threats to regional and world stability,&rdquo; Israel wrote in the caption of the video.<\/p>\n<p>The man was identified as Samih Asali, 37, originally from the Gaza Strip but residing in Jericho. His death and biographical information <a href=\"http:\/\/Hussein%20Hamayel,%20the%20Palestinian%20governor%20of%20the%20area,%20Middle%20East%20Eye\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>were confirmed<\/a> by Hussein Hamayel, the Palestinian governor of the area, <em>Middle East Eye<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Footage shared online showed large crowds of Palestinians celebrating the missile attack. Iran had previously plummeted in popularity among Palestinians in recent months over the perception that it was not doing enough to help their cause.<\/p>\n<p>Hamas also celebrated the attack, saying in a statement that Iran&rsquo;s leadership was &ldquo;honorable&rdquo; and that the barrage sent a &ldquo;strong message&rdquo; to the enemy.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We express our pride in our brothers in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and our appreciation for their stand in the face of the unbridled Zionist arrogance,&rdquo; the statement reads.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Iran fired approximately 300 missiles at Israel in April, but many of those were cruise missiles and drones, which are easier to shoot down than ballistic ones.<\/p>\n<p>A 2022 U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iranwatch.org\/our-publications\/weapon-program-background-report\/table-irans-missile-arsenal#:~:text=Weapon%20Program%3A&amp;text=Iran's%20missile%20arsenal%20is%20the,land%2Dattack%20cruise%20missile%20force.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"assessment\">assessment<\/a> estimated that Iran was in possession of over 3,000 ballistic missiles, a number that is likely to have increased since then.
