There&rsquo;s a couple glaring reasons for it.<\/p>\n<p>First, according to a report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/robocop-tv-series-amazon-james-wan-1236011902\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, &ldquo;RoboCop&rdquo; is well on its way to being rebooted as a television series.<\/p>\n<p>That, in and of itself, doesn&rsquo;t mean a whole lot, given that the early aughts television series &ldquo;RoboCop: Prime Directives&rdquo; is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sec-chairman-met-with-head-of-ftx-months-before-collapse\/\" title=\"SEC Chairman Met With Head of FTX Months Before Collapse\">completely separate entity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Prime Directives&rdquo; was a Canadian miniseries (it was all of four episodes long) that acted as an effective sequel to the original trilogy.<\/p>\n<p>While Canada was behind that series, a much bigger entity will be helming this latest reboot.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon Studios &mdash; offshoot of the tech empire built by Jeff Bezos &mdash; will be creating this new series, and that&rsquo;s &hellip; concerning.<\/p>\n<p>First, and perhaps foremost, it&rsquo;s hard to trust anything Amazon will do given the extraordinary way it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-season-amazons-lord-rings-show-slammed-ultimate-insult-tolkien\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has butchered<\/a> the works of famed author J.R.R.
