The piece suggests\u200d that the media&#8217;s inconsistent treatment reflects a bias\u2063 in how discussions about abortion legislation are polled and processed.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The same media obsessed with demanding Republicans refrain from passing federal legislation limiting abortion have yet to bat an eye at Kamala Harris&rsquo; radical pledge to nuke the filibuster to advance her extremist abortion agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Harris confirmed this week that she hopes to help Senate Democrats annihilate the filibuster so they can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-democrats-plan-to-stay-in-d-c-amid-second-special-legislative-session\/\" title=\"Texas Democrats plan to stay in D.C. amid second special legislative session\">pass federal legislation<\/a> that would <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/11\/bipartisan-majority-rejects-radical-abortion-bill-pushed-by-senate-democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">codify abortion<\/a>&nbsp;through all nine months of pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think we should eliminate the filibuster for <em>Roe<\/em>,&rdquo; Harris said in an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpr.org\/shows\/wisconsin-today-2\/vice-president-kamala-harris-veterinary-cooperatives-finding-phantom-towns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interview with Wisconsin Public Radio<\/a>, &ldquo;and &hellip; get us to the point where 51 votes would be what we need to actually put back in law the protections for reproductive freedom and for the ability of every person and every woman to make decisions about their own body and not have their government tell them what to do.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Harris&rsquo; confession that she would remove a check and balance as significant as the filibuster to accomplish her radical political goals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/09\/04\/politics\/kamala-harris-eliminate-filibuster-green-new-deal-climate-town-hall\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">is<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/VP\/status\/1542531656137019393\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">not<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2022\/09\/10\/remarks-by-vice-president-harris-at-the-2022-democratic-national-committee-summer-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new<\/a>, but that does not make it less shocking.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the destruction the Democrat&rsquo;s promise would wreak on the upper congressional chamber, Democrats and corporate media acted largely unfazed.<\/p>\n<p>Harris&rsquo; radical call to overhaul Senate procedure so she can force Democrats&rsquo; unpopular abortion agenda onto Americans received some scolding from Democrat <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ThomasPaineBand\/status\/1838665380946153663\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sen. Joe Manchin<\/a> and independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/kyrstensinema\/status\/1838630653677453484\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">only objected to the idea<\/a> because it would pave the way for a &ldquo;future Congress to ban all abortion nationwide.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The outlets that have prided themselves on meddling in the abortion conversation for years, however, barely offered Harris&rsquo; confession coverage &mdash; much less scrutiny. The radical proposal was even cheered by Washington Post and New York Times columnists as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2024\/09\/26\/harris-filibuster-abortion-roe-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;great idea&rdquo;<\/a> that deserves Americans&rsquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/09\/27\/opinion\/congress-filibuster-success-debate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Contrast the corporate media&rsquo;s handling of Harris&rsquo; decision to demolish the only thing protecting Americans from experiencing sweeping change and political whiplash with how they treat talk of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-demand-federal-law-to-enshrine-roe-v-wade\/\" title=\"Democrats demand federal law to enshrine Roe v. Wade\">federal abortion law<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Nearly every time former President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance face a member of the propaganda press &mdash; either in an interview or on the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/abortion-trump-harris-contraception-debate-vance-2f11a66ab4619fcb3d9917ee51a9c060\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">debate stage<\/a> &mdash; they are asked to weigh in on whether the GOP presidential nominee, if elected, would sign national legislation limiting abortion.<\/p>\n<p>For months, Trump has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/04\/10\/politics\/trump-says-he-wouldnt-sign-federal-abortion-ban\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said he would not sign<\/a> it. His&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/112235238031827342\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2024 abortion platform<\/a> even explicitly notes decisions about ending life in the womb should be left &ldquo;up to the states.&rdquo; Vance has also confirmed that Trump would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2024-election\/jd-vance-says-trump-veto-national-abortion-ban-rcna168084\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">veto a federal bill limiting ending life in the womb<\/a> if it happened to make it through both congressional chambers to his desk. <\/p>\n<p>Even if the Trump-Vance ticket committed to endorsing federal legislation limiting abortion to the first trimester, however, it would be well within Congress&rsquo;s authority to pass such a bill and well within a president&rsquo;s authority to sign it. As a bonus, it would finally reconcile the law with Americans&rsquo;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/poll-majority-of-americans-still-reject-democrats-unlimited-abortion-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">widespread support for restricting abortion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nuking the filibuster, on the other hand, would effectively strip the upper chamber of its unique minority power protections. <\/p>\n<p>But corporate media only harp on and criticize the possibility of national abortion law with hopes of bullying the GOP out of ever considering it.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to abortion, corporate media love to carry water for Democrats. In fact, without help from the propaganda press, the abortion extremism that permeates American politics despite its unpopularity with voters <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/19\/democrats-abortion-extremism-would-not-be-possible-without-help-from-corporate-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">would not be possible<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Harris and her Democrat allies will stop at nothing,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2022\/06\/30\/joe-biden-filibuster-roe-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">including the filibuster<\/a>, to force abortion through all nine months of pregnancy in every state.
