The majority of those removed had either moved \u200dwithin the state and failed to re-register or had not participated in the 2020\u2064 or 2022 federal elections. Others were removed due to death, relocation \u200cto other\u2064 states, or felony convictions. <\/p>\n<p>Recent\u200c reports have also identified nine \u200cpotential non-citizens \u200cwho were \u2063registered to vote, prompting an investigation into\u200b their status. However, these individuals are separate from the\u200d recent large-scale purge,\u2062 which federal \u200dlaw\u2062 prohibits within 90 days of an \u200delection.
