The House Judiciary Committee,\u200b led by Chairman Jim Jordan, sent a letter to Attorney \u2063General Merrick Garland questioning the rationale \u2062behind the DOJ&#8217;s decision to disclose Routh&#8217;s writings, which they argue could potentially inspire further violence. In the letter, Jordan noted the DOJ&#8217;s usual practice of withholding such documents and expressed concern that making the manifesto \u2064public could encourage &#8220;copycat&#8221; offenses by inciting intense interest in the perpetrator&#8217;s motivations.
