Democrats spent much of what it had raised in August, $258 million, compared to the RNC and the Trump campaign&rsquo;s $121 million in expenditures.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats&rsquo; growing fundraising lead likely means Republicans won&rsquo;t be able to catch up in spending by the Nov. 5 general election. <em>Axios<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/09\/21\/harris-fundraising-beats-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>reported<\/a> that there was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ukrainian-government-tries-to-walk-back-zelenskys-calls-for-preemptive-strikes-against-russia\/\" title=\"Ukrainian Government Tries to Walk Back Zelensky&#039;s Calls for Preemptive Strikes Against Russia\">growing panic<\/a> in GOP circles, given the debate largely didn&rsquo;t boost Trump&rsquo;s fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>RNC Chairman Michael Whatley <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/harris-trump-cash-dash-presidential-candidate-holds-fundraising-edge-final-stretch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>told<\/a> Fox News earlier this month that &ldquo;the Democrats have a ton of money. The Democrats always have a ton of money.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>However, he added, &ldquo;we absolutely have the resources that we need to get our message out to all the voters that we&rsquo;re talking to and feel very comfortable that we&rsquo;re going to be able to see this campaign through and we&rsquo;re going to win on November 5.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One notable donor to the Trump campaign, former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Nikki-Haley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Nikki Haley<\/a> supporter and hedge fund manager Paul Singer, gave $5 million to Make America Great Again Inc., a sign that some of Haley&rsquo;s supporters have come around to donating to Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Harris&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republicans-grow-midterm-cash-advantage-over-dems\/\" title=\"House Republicans Grow Midterm Cash Advantage Over Dems\">cash advantage<\/a> could prove critical in an essentially deadlocked race.
