In one of the most closely contested U.S. House races nationwide, both candidates are vying for victory in North Carolina’s only genuinely competitive congressional district. Voters in the 1st Congressional District, like many across the country, are primarily concerned about economic issues\u2014whether it be personal wealth, job availability, consumer prices, or inflation. A recent poll from Carolina Journal indicates that nearly half of likely voters in North Carolina prioritize either inflation\/prices or jobs\/economy as their main concerns.<\/p>\n
Buckhout argues that the American economy is “broken,” asserting that “America first” policies are essential to assist struggling families.
