These actors \u2062allegedly obtained and attempted to distribute\u200d stolen, non-public materials\u2063 from \u200cthe campaign of former President Donald Trump to the campaign of then-Democratic \u200bpresidential candidate Joe\u2064 Biden. The FBI, the Office \u2062of the Director of National Intelligence, and\u2064 the Cybersecurity \u2062and Infrastructure Security Agency\u200c issued a\u200b joint statement highlighting \u200bthese \u200bactivities, noting that Biden&#8217;s campaign did\u200c not report\u200c these attempts to\u200b law enforcement. getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Iranian malicious cyber actors in late June and early July sent unsolicited s to individuals then associated with President Biden&rsquo;s campaign that contained an excerpt taken from stolen, non-public material from former President Trump&rsquo;s campaign as text in the s,&rdquo; the ominous statement read.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/calif-officials-say-10-of-states-unemployment-payments-linked-to-fraud\/\" title=\"Calif. officials say 10% of state\u2019s unemployment payments linked to fraud\">malicious actors<\/a> didn&rsquo;t stop there.<\/p>\n<p>The statement added: &ldquo;Furthermore, Iranian malicious cyber actors have continued their efforts since June to send stolen, non-public material associated with former President Trump&rsquo;s campaign to U.S. media organizations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>While that&rsquo;s concerning enough on its own, the statement did try to deflect blame from the campaign of Biden.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There is currently no information indicating those recipients replied,&rdquo; the statement noted.<\/p>\n<p>However, while a follow-up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/09\/19\/iran-hacking-trump-biden-2024-election-00180160\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> from Politico largely echoed the claim that Biden&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-is-it-offensive-to-call-kamala-a-dei-hire\/\" title=\"Why Is It Offensive To Call Kamala A DEI Hire?\">campaign didn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t do anything wrong, there was also a curious tidbit about something else the campaign didn&rsquo;t do.<\/p>\n<p>Namely, it appears Team Biden did not report to the proper authorities that malicious actors were trying to peddle stolen information to them.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;President Joe Biden&rsquo;s campaign did not reach out to law enforcement after individuals associated with the campaign received hacked material from Donald Trump&rsquo;s campaign in their personal  accounts,&rdquo; the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>Politico, not unlike the prior joint statement, did try to defend the Biden campaign&rsquo;s inaction, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Citing officials with the Biden campaign, Politico reported that those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wake-up-with-the-washington-examiner-the-party-is-over-for-democrats-and-trump-and-harris-try-to-raise-the-roofs-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Wake up with the Washington Examiner: The party is over for Democrats, and Trump and Harris try to raise the roofs - Washington Examiner\">officials didn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t report anything to the proper authorities because they did not open those messages.<\/p>\n<p>The Harris campaign also reportedly did not tell authorities.
