He also received backlash when<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/532856\/north-carolina-lt-gov-mark-robinson-voices-regret-for-abortion-decision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title> he admitted<\/a> he paid for his wife to get an abortion despite his opposition to the procedure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think we all thought Robinson was problematic from the get-go, but I think this is going to be an even bigger problem in North Carolina,&rdquo; said a Republican operative, speaking on the condition of anonymity to reflect candidly on the situation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We really need Trump to very clearly come out very strongly against him. Robinson is going to lose anyway, so we need to be done with this and move on because Trump needs to win North Carolina. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), giving Democrats a 51-49 majority. None of the allegations damaged Trump.
