If someone breaks in my house,&hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gzNEuNuzSA\">pic.twitter.com\/gzNEuNuzSA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CollinRugg\/status\/1836939219400286534?\">September 20, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>One hopes that all of those viewers will  the clip with their friends and contrast it with Harris&rsquo;s record, including some of her most recent activity and statements, on the subject of gun control.<\/p>\n<p>Last September, President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-taps-key-leader-kamala-harris-head-first-ever-gun-control-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appointed<\/a> Harris to oversee the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, that appointment resulted in heightened interest around the vice president&rsquo;s views on gun control.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, alarm bells sounded for freedom lovers everywhere when, at a State Department event little more than a month later, Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-kamala-harris-casually-calls-australian-style-national-gun-confiscation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">praised<\/a> Australian-style gun confiscation.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, clips of the vice president threatening to shred the Bill of Rights have resurfaced and circulated this week on X.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn&rsquo;t mean that we&rsquo;re not going to walk into that home and check to see if you&rsquo;re being responsible,&rdquo; then-San Francisco district attorney Harris said in a 2007 press conference, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/kamala-harris-said-she-could-walk-into-home-legal-gun-owner-inspection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Harris&rsquo;s threat to enter people&rsquo;s homes would violate not only the Second Amendment but also the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/founding-docs\/bill-of-rights-transcript\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fourth Amendment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is openly totalitarian. If we don&rsquo;t resist this, we&rsquo;re done,&rdquo; conservative commentator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-rfk-jr-tells-tucker-carlson-held-trump-back-begged-not-release-jfk-files-astonished\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tucker Carlson<\/a> posted in response to a clip of those comments from Harris.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This is openly totalitarian. In fact, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/even-oprah-moderator-friendly-crowd-kamala-harris-flopped-hard-michigan-town-hall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">demonstrated<\/a> that talent again at Thursday&rsquo;s town hall.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, one cannot help but mock her.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, our inability to take her seriously might prove to be her secret weapon.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, at last week&rsquo;s presidential debate, Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-acts-friendly-firearms-gun-safe-already-confirmed-valid-target\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> to own a gun and to support gun rights.<\/p>\n<p>In light of her past comments on confiscation and invading people&rsquo;s homes, that seemed impossible to believe.<\/p>\n<p>But she said it. And then she amplified the claim at Thursday&rsquo;s town hall.
