The untimely passings of Amber Thurman, Candi Miller, and their babies, however, had nothing to do with the Peach State&rsquo;s protections and everything to do with Democrats and corporate media&rsquo;s dangerous abortion rhetoric.<\/p>\n<p>ProPublica, an outlet known for <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/propublica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">doing Democrats&rsquo; dirty work<\/a>, resurfaced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propublica.org\/article\/georgia-abortion-ban-amber-thurman-death\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thurman&rsquo;s<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propublica.org\/article\/candi-miller-abortion-ban-death-georgia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miller&rsquo;s<\/a> 2022 passings this week in an attempt to vilify pro-life laws ahead of the 2024 election. The women&rsquo;s deaths were both the direct result of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-will-decide-whether-to-uphold-ban-on-dangerous-abortions-by-mail\/\" title=\"Supreme Court to Decide Fate of &#039;Dangerous&#039; Abortions-By-Mail Ban\">drug regimen responsible<\/a> for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/article\/2022\/02\/medication-abortion-now-accounts-more-half-all-us-abortions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than half of the nation&rsquo;s abortions<\/a>. Still, ProPublica skipped past the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/33939340\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sometimes fatal&nbsp;complications<\/a> and a significant number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/drugsatfda_docs\/label\/2016\/020687s020lbl.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">emergency room visits<\/a> associated with mifepristone and misoprostol&nbsp;to insist that the women lost their lives because they and the doctors responsible for treating them were scared out of it by pro-lifers.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the articles&rsquo; publication, Harris posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KamalaHarris\/status\/1836225826016071909\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">four-part statement to X<\/a> falsely claiming &ldquo;Trump Abortion Bans prevent doctors from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kamala-harris-uses-malicious-disinformation-in-attempt-to-score-political-points-off-of-womans-death\/\" title=\"Kamala Harris Uses &#039;Malicious Disinformation&#039; in Attempt to Score Political Points Off of Woman&#039;s Death\">providing basic medical care<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Women are bleeding out in parking lots, turned away from emergency rooms, losing their ability to ever have children again,&rdquo; she wrote. &ldquo;Survivors of rape and incest are being told they cannot make decisions about what happens next to their bodies. And now women are dying. These are the consequences of Donald Trump&rsquo;s actions.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>According to an <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/harris-speak-abortion-georgia-seeking-tie-deaths-women\/story?id=113845799\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unnamed senior Harris campaign official<\/a>,&nbsp;the Democrat will echo these accusations about Trump &mdash; many of which she <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/10\/during-debate-harris-refuses-to-say-whether-she-supports-abortion-through-all-nine-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lobbed at him unchecked<\/a> during the Sept. 10 presidential debate &mdash; in her Friday speech.<\/p>\n<p>States that limit when life in the womb can be ended do not criminalize treatments for spontaneous loss or complications like those experienced by Thurman and Miller. In fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/pro-life-laws-protect-mom-and-baby-pregnant-womens-lives-are-protected-in-all-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">every single pro-life law<\/a> &mdash; <a href=\"https:\/\/casetext.com\/statute\/code-of-georgia\/title-16-crimes-and-offenses\/chapter-12-offenses-against-public-health-and-morals\/article-5-abortion\/section-16-12-141-restrictions-on-the-performance-of-abortions-availability-of-records-civil-cause-of-action-affirmative-defenses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">including the one in Georgia<\/a> &mdash; contains carveouts for abortion procedures like dilation and curettage when they are deemed necessary to save the life of the woman.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yet, Democrats, with the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/19\/democrats-abortion-extremism-would-not-be-possible-without-help-from-corporate-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">help of their media allies<\/a> like ProPublica, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/29\/no-dobbs-doesnt-stop-doctors-from-treating-ectopic-pregnancies-or-miscarriages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">routinely assert<\/a>&nbsp;that doctors are no longer permitted to treat complications, ectopic pregnancies, or miscarriages. <\/p>\n<p>As SBA Pro-Life America&rsquo;s State Policy Director Katie Daniel<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>noted in a press conference Friday before Harris&rsquo; speech, the exceptions built into red-state legislation limiting abortion &ldquo;rarely changed from the laws pre-<em>Dobbs<\/em> to the laws post-<em>Dobbs<\/em>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The test used &mdash; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/liberals-are-wrong-emergency-pregnancy-treatments-remain-legal-after-roe\/\" title=\"Liberals Are Wrong. Emergency Pregnancy Treatments Remain Legal After Roe.\">reasonable medical judgment<\/a> in most states, good faith judgment in others &mdash; is the test that was used before and is the test that&rsquo;s used in many others,&rdquo; she said, noting that physicians had no problems interpreting those exceptions for years, but &ldquo;somehow, mysteriously two years ago, they stopped being familiar with that test.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Harris, like many Democrats in recent years, has made abortion a hallmark of her 2024 campaign. She&rsquo;s tried multiple times on her short time on the campaign trail to claim that Trump has deceived voters by, as <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/harris-speak-abortion-georgia-seeking-tie-deaths-women\/story?id=113845799\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABC News put it<\/a>, &ldquo;flip-flopping&rdquo; on signing federal abortion limits into law, even though the Republican&rsquo;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/112235238031827342\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2024 abortion platform<\/a> explicitly states decisions about ending life in the womb should be left &ldquo;up to the states.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s Harris&rsquo; extremism disguised as ambiguity, however, that is deceiving voters, who are <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/poll-majority-of-americans-still-reject-democrats-unlimited-abortion-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more pro-life<\/a> than politicians and the media credit them for. <\/p>\n<p>She&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/10\/during-debate-harris-refuses-to-say-whether-she-supports-abortion-through-all-nine-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">refused numerous times<\/a> to say whether she supports abortion through all nine months of pregnancy and lied about the prevalence of late-term abortions. Harris has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2024\/05\/01\/remarks-by-vice-president-harris-on-the-fight-for-reproductive-freedoms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">long lamented life-saving laws<\/a>&nbsp;and even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/115th-congress\/senate-bill\/510\/cosponsors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">co-sponsored<\/a>&nbsp;the original version of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/3755\/text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;Women&rsquo;s Health Protection Act,&rdquo;<\/a> which seeks to codify abortion through birth. She&rsquo;s even called the pills that caused Thurman and Miller&rsquo;s deaths <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2024\/03\/01\/statement-from-vice-president-kamala-harris-on-access-to-medication-abortion-through-major-retail-pharmacies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;safe and effective.&rdquo;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Harris&rsquo; radical abortion rhetoric is tricking women everywhere into believing pro-lifers are gatekeeping maternal care. Because of her lies, women like Thurman and Miller believe the abortion pills made even more readily available to them under the Biden administration&rsquo;s expansions will do them no harm. It&#8217;s important to note that states imposing limits on when life can be terminated do not criminalize necessary treatments for miscarriages or complications like those faced by Thurman and Miller. In fact, every pro-life law\u2014including Georgia&#8217;s\u2014includes exceptions for procedures such as dilation and curettage when they are essential for saving a woman&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this reality, Democrats frequently claim\u2014with support from media outlets like ProPublica\u2014that doctors can no longer address complications or ectopic pregnancies under these laws. As Katie Daniel from SBA Pro-Life America pointed out in a press conference before Harris\u2019s speech, exceptions within red-state abortion legislation have remained largely unchanged since before the Dobbs decision.<\/p>\n<p>Harris has made abortion central to her 2024 campaign strategy while attempting multiple times during her campaign appearances to accuse Trump of misleading voters about his stance on federal abortion restrictions\u2014even though his platform clearly states such decisions should be left &#8220;up to the states.&#8221; However, it is Harris\u2019s extreme position disguised as ambiguity that misleads voters who tend toward pro-life views more than politicians or media acknowledge.<\/p>\n<p>She has repeatedly avoided clarifying whether she supports unrestricted access to abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy while also misrepresenting late-term abortions&#8217; prevalence. Additionally, she co-sponsored an earlier version of the \u201cWomen\u2019s Health Protection Act,\u201d which aims at codifying access through birth.
