It is the corporate media’s long-standing readiness to promote abortion activism that has enabled Democrats, eager to shape the discussion around unborn life, to position the termination of pregnancies at the forefront of their 2024 election strategy. For years, leading Democrats have opposed any restrictions on abortion. Those within the party who are less overt about their support for unrestricted access to abortion, like Vice President Kamala Harris, still reveal their position by endorsing legislation and ballot initiatives aimed at legalizing abortions up until birth.

Democrats have openly supported abortion rights across all 50 states without regard for circumstances and have vowed to use any means necessary—including eliminating the filibuster—to achieve this goal. However, corporate media outlets have intentionally refrained from challenging pro-abortion politicians to reconcile their extreme views with the majority of Americans who favor some limitations on abortion.

In straightforward terms, these media organizations have allowed Democrats to evade accountability for their radical positions without scrutiny. Even those journalists who do question Democratic candidates about when they believe abortions should be restricted do so timidly and fail to follow up adequately.

The media’s complicity in supporting Democratic strategies regarding abortion goes beyond merely overlooking their extremism; it also involves publishing polls with misleading language designed to suggest that Americans are more aligned with leftist views on issues like abortion and in vitro fertilization than they actually are. Major news organizations often use euphemistic labels such as “pro-choice” for advocates of unrestricted abortions while framing pro-lifers negatively as “anti-abortion.”

As discussions surrounding the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision overturning Roe v. Wade unfolded, various media outlets leaked drafts of opinions in an attempt to sway justices’ decisions. When this tactic failed, publications like ProPublica and The New York Times collaborated with Democrats in efforts aimed at discrediting Republican-appointed justices.

Despite only 37 percent of U.S. adults believing that second-trimester abortions should be permitted—beginning around 13 weeks—both Democrats and mainstream media portray attempts at enacting even modest federal laws limiting abortions after 15 weeks as extreme measures while demonizing state-level pro-life policies as oppressive towards women.

When late-term abortions—which proponents previously claimed were rare—are restricted or halted, outlets such as The New York Times express dismay and advocate for continued taxpayer-funded late-term procedures instead.

Moreover, corporate media has interfered in elections by falsely asserting that advocating for women’s and babies’ protection is politically detrimental despite evidence suggesting otherwise. Contrary to how these issues are presented by the press, many Americans hold pro-life views far more strongly than acknowledged; however, misleading fact-checks from these outlets distort public perception and hinder voters’ ability to make informed choices accordingly.

Without support from sympathetic media sources, Democratic extremism regarding abortion would struggle significantly; yet corruption within corporate newsrooms has facilitated a reality where ending unborn lives remains a viable agenda throughout pregnancy stages

[4310,3933,4188,5894
post-2343374","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-abortion","tag-dems","tag-media","tag-politics
["GET
