According to a 2021 interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2024\/08\/07\/tim-walz-interview-trump-00172927#:~:text=And%20when%20Trump%20goaded%20on,in%20a%20private%20phone%20call.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>, the governor alleged the call happened after the governor&rsquo;s mansion was surrounded by protesters, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/twitch-slammed-for-tweeting-womxns-history-month\/\" title=\"Twitch Slammed For Tweeting \u2018Womxn\u2019s History Month\u2019\">including members<\/a> of the far-right group the Proud Boys.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tim-walz-call-kamala-prostitutor-vp-pick-fire-comments-harris-leave-viewers-stunned\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walz<\/a> remembers the exchange being a bit more confrontational, noting that Trump had tweeted &ldquo;LIBERATE MINNESOTA!&rdquo; before.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What does &lsquo;Liberate Minnesota&rsquo; mean? What do you want me to do differently? What do you think that I&rsquo;m doing or not doing?&rdquo; Walz claimed he asked then-President Trump during the interview. &ldquo;I never got a response.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I just asked, and I said I just really, really wanted to clarify exactly what you mean,&rdquo; Walz said. &ldquo;I did not jump to the conclusion on that.
