Lizzie Ulmer, senior vice president at the States United Democracy Center, stated that individuals undermining democracy would face repercussions. The webinar, which also featured Jon Miller from the Public Rights Project, aimed to equip local election officials with messaging strategies‍ to counter ⁢misinformation surrounding election certification. They highlighted the importance of accountability ‍and expressed concerns regarding attempts to block certification, particularly referencing incidents in Cochise County, Arizona.

Ulmer criticized hesitation to certify election results as ‌rooted in conspiracy theories and ‌unreliable data.
