Kennedy Jr.<\/a> appears to have paid dividends.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Trump&rsquo;s 46 percent favorable rating at this stage of the race bodes extremely well for the former president.<\/p>\n<p>After all, in late August\/early September polling from 2020, Trump recorded only a 41 percent favorable rating compared to 46 percent for then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, at the same point in 2016, Trump earned only a 33 percent favorable rating. Then-Democratic nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hillary-clinton-responds-second-trump-assassination-attempt-blaming-victim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> stood at 38 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, by this time in the last two election cycles, Trump trailed his opponents by five percent in favorability.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to that metric, therefore, the former president has never found himself in a stronger position overall.<\/p>\n<p>The immediate significance of the new Gallup poll, of course, involves Harris&rsquo; decline in favorability.<\/p>\n<p>For many weeks following her ascent to the top of the Democratic ticket, the vice president enjoyed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/latest-time-magazine-cover-takes-mainstream-medias-creepy-kamala-worship-new-level\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fawning coverage<\/a> from the party&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-joy-reid-says-black-people-will-look-crazy-dont-vote-kamala-harris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">minions<\/a> in the establishment media. The press, in fact, effectively ran her campaign for her.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Harris&rsquo;s advisors kept her largely shielded from unscripted public appearances, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-terrified-press-conferences-harris-spokesman-refuses-commit-cnn-host-presses-live-air\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press conferences<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When Harris finally gave her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-kamala-harris-cnn-interview-backfires-moment-cost-2024-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first interview<\/a> in late August, accompanied by running mate Tim Walz, not even gentle treatment from CNN&rsquo;s Dana Bash could prevent the vice president from exposing her own myriad inadequacies as a thinker and speaker.<\/p>\n<p>Then, when Harris finally sat for her first solo interview last week, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-kamala-harris-tries-escape-question-economic-plan-latest-interview-looks-rough\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spoke gibberish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, last Tuesday&rsquo;s presidential debate, which ABC News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/megyn-kelly-torches-debate-moderators-exactly-bosses-wanted-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rigged<\/a> in her favor, was supposed to reinvigorate her campaign.
