That&rsquo;s one of the great things about the show. &hellip; Teen is a queer guy on the show, but it&rsquo;s not the driving force, which I think is really great. It&rsquo;s really nice to just have these positive queer characters.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Plaza, who plays Rio Vidal: &ldquo;It will be a gay explosion by the end of it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Explosion, indeed, might be the right word to describe it.<\/p>\n<p>First, rest assured that if you didn&rsquo;t watch &ldquo;WandaVision&rdquo; or aren&rsquo;t up on the details of the outer fringes of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/racist-sexist-homophobic-marvels-director-used-liberal-playbook-film-tracked-opening-flop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marvel Cinematic Universe<\/a>, this probably already isn&rsquo;t for you, no matter how much you like the other work the actors have done. (Plaza is best known for her stint on &ldquo;Parks and Rec,&rdquo; Hahn also for &ldquo;Parks and Rec&rdquo; and &ldquo;WandaVision,&rdquo; Locke for the Netflix series &ldquo;Heartstopper&rdquo; and Zamata for &ldquo;Saturday Night Live.&rdquo;)<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Marvel Television&rsquo;s Agatha All Along | Official Trailer | Disney+\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/R9pXbNz6Vbw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Basically, Hahn is the titular character, Agatha Harkness, who is a witch from 1693 Salem that, in &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/anthony-mackie-calls-hollywood-hire-best-person-job-regardless-skin-color\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WandaVision<\/a>,&rdquo; arrives in the present investigate the fictional show &ldquo;WandaVision&rdquo; being created by the titular character of the actual show &ldquo;WandaVision&rdquo; and ends up trapped in the fictional town of Westview, New Jersey. &ldquo;Agatha All Along,&rdquo; according to a logline for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/goosebumps-author-says-woke-publisher-edited-his-books-without-his-knowledge\/\" title=\"\u2018Goosebumps\u2019 Author Says Woke Publisher Edited His Books Without His Knowledge\">series published<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/tv\/news\/agatha-all-along-trailer-marvel-wandavision-kathryn-hahn-1235320185\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Variety<\/a> in July, puts together a new coven of witches to travel &ldquo;the legendary Witches&rsquo; Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they&rsquo;re missing.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>If this all sounds like you accidentally took eight doses of Robitussin, &ldquo;Agatha All Along&rdquo; isn&rsquo;t for you. But then again, it might be for that many people, period.<\/p>\n<p>While the MCU is a complicated enough thing that a person could complete several &ldquo;Final Fantasy&rdquo; games while it was explained to them, &ldquo;Star Wars&rdquo; is not. It&rsquo;s part of our collective unconscious. Luke. Yoda. Leia. Han. Lando. The Force. Jedis. Darth Vader. Darth Maul. Darth [Insert Malignant-Sounding Name Here]. Chewy. Sarcastic robots. Just throw a few of those elements into the plot and everyone will get what&rsquo;s going on.<\/p>\n<p>However, when &ldquo;The Acolyte&rdquo; &mdash; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/acolyte-creator-slammed-making-gayest-star-wars-ever-fans-enough\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the latest series<\/a> in that universe &mdash; came out on Disney+ in June, it also <em>came out<\/em>, with the creator declaring it the &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/disney-pulls-the-plug-on-wokest-star-wars-project-ever-after-fans-revolt\/\" title=\"Disney Pulls the Plug on Wokest Star Wars Project Ever After Fans Revolt\">gayest &#038;lsquo<\/a>;Star Wars&rsquo; yet.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;People have told me that it&rsquo;s the gayest &lsquo;Star Wars&rsquo; ever, and I&rsquo;m frankly into it,&rdquo; said creator Leslye Headland, who identifies as lesbian.<\/p>\n<p>And guess what? It got <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/disney-pulls-plug-wokest-star-wars-project-ever-fans-revolt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">canned two months later<\/a>, when the series wasn&rsquo;t picked up for a second season. It looks like a bunch of Leftists putting a blood curse on Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Cancel This Podcast (@CancelThisPod) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CancelThisPod\/status\/1800716148465680602?\">June 12, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Apparently, people weren&rsquo;t into the queering of &ldquo;Star Wars&rdquo; with, among other things, sections like that &mdash; which sounds more like the hidden track on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/imagine-john-lennons-son-blasts-media-parroting-chinese-propaganda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yoko Ono<\/a> album than anything from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ben-franklins-name-scrubbed-from-tacoma-city-park\/\" title=\"Ben Franklin\u2019s Name Scrubbed From Tacoma City Park\">long time ago<\/a> in a galaxy far, far away.<\/p>\n<p>And it&rsquo;s not like official media critics panned it like, say, the wretched &ldquo;Solo: A Star Wars Story.&rdquo; It has a 78 percent rating on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/tv\/star_wars_the_acolyte\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, which means that critics generally thought it was good enough.<\/p>\n<p>Given that &ldquo;Star Wars&rdquo; is a reliable IP, that should have been enough to secure it a second season &mdash; unless, of course, fans decided they didn&rsquo;t want to commit to eight episodes of a home DEI seminar about LGBT representation in fiction. It also didn&rsquo;t help that the eight episodes of said seminar cost $180 million to produce, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/05\/29\/arts\/television\/leslye-headland-the-acolyte.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>, at the same time Disney is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldofreel.com\/blog\/2024\/5\/15\/disney-ceo-says-studio-lost-4-billion-because-it-tried-to-tell-too-many-stories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">losing money<\/a> like a drunken poker player.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the only major Disney success to report in 2024 &mdash; aside from the fact that it only lost $18 million on its Disney+ streaming service in the second quarter, a considerable improvement over the $659 million it lost last year at the same time, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/business\/media\/disney-dis-q2-earnings-report-2024-300990de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>That would be &ldquo;Inside Out 2,&rdquo; a Pixar movie which, shockingly, creators decided <em>not<\/em> to make the &ldquo;gayest film about anthropomorphized emotions ever.&rdquo; That film <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/world-disneys-latest-film-actually-exceeding-expectations-amid-rough-2024-box-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exceeded box-office expectations<\/a> with no wokeness involved. Imagine that.<\/p>\n<p>Look for Pixar to screw that up with &ldquo;Cars 4,&rdquo; in which a former auto athlete transitions to &ldquo;Caitlyn McQueen&rdquo; &mdash; and don&rsquo;t you <em>dare<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/christian-math-teacher-wins-total-victory-refusing-deceive-parents-transgender-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deadname<\/a> him as &ldquo;Lightning!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;m kidding, of course. I think. I hope. Please, Disney, don&rsquo;t get any ideas.<\/p>\n<p>You&rsquo;re apparently getting bad enough advice already from your showrunners.
