It took 11 weeks to reopen the Port of Baltimore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Wessler of Gupta Wessler, an attorney representing the families, noted that the cargo ship should have never left its port after it dealt with power outages days within making its route to Baltimore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He is looking to make the filing by Sept. 24, which is the deadline granted by a federal court case to Grace Ocean Private Limited in its effort to limit lawsuits from the incident, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/key-bridge-collapse-victim-families-legal-action-grace-ocean-private-limited\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>according<\/a> to CBS News.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wessler is seeking to make the shipping company pay monetary restitution, labor protections, and work permits to the family members, as some don&rsquo;t have permanent legal residence in the United States.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They all have suffered an unimaginable tragedy, losing their loved ones, whether it was one of our clients who lost her husband and partner.
