This rhetoric\u2064 mirrors the incendiary language often used by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-comms-team-gets-a-pass-where-trump-administration-would-have-had-a-scandal\/\" title=\"Biden Comms Team Gets A Pass Where Trump Administration Would Have Had A Scandal\">left-wing media<\/a> to portray Trump negatively, which Trump asserts\u2064 contributed \u200cto his first assassination attempt \u2063discussed during a \u200drecent debate. He claimed that such rhetoric poses a \u2064real threat to democracy,\u200c rather than \u200dhimself. In response to \u200dhis supporters and the ongoing \u200dpolitical climate, Trump indicated\u200d that the current\u2062 hostile atmosphere is resulting in violence,\u2063 hinting that it may lead to further assassination\u2063 attempts. Various political figures, including former \u200dFBI agent Tim Clemente, and \u200cwriters from publications like The Washington Post and \u2063Politico have echoed sentiments linking Trump \u200cto historical dictators, suggesting \u2062that the intense political discourse \u2062will foster more \u2064extremist actions in the future.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Would-be assassin Ryan Routh falsely claimed former President Donald Trump would &ldquo;make Americans slaves again&rdquo; and that &ldquo;DEMOCRACY is on the ballot&rdquo; in an April <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BillboardChris\/status\/1835452723929457000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">post on X<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Sound familiar?<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s the same type of incendiary, assassination-prep language that has been used by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/debra-messing-shames-media-waukesha-massacre-was-not-an-accident-dont-minimize-crime\/\" title=\"Debra Messing Shames Media: Waukesha Massacre &#039;Was Not an Accident... Don&#039;t Minimize&#039; Crime\">left-wing corporate media<\/a> for years to vilify and dehumanize Trump &mdash; rhetoric that Trump rightly blamed for his <em>first<\/em> assassination attempt during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-quickly-turns-desantis-debate-comment-into-a-campaign-ad\/\" title=\"Biden swiftly transforms DeSantis debate remark into campaign ad.\">recent presidential debate<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me,&rdquo; Trump said during the debate. &ldquo;They talk about democracy &mdash; I&rsquo;m a &lsquo;threat to democracy.&rsquo; They&rsquo;re the threat to democracy with the fake Russia-Russia-Russia investigation that went nowhere.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Donald Trump called it at the debate: &ldquo;I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me. They talk about democracy. I&#8217;m a threat to democracy. They&#8217;re the threat to democracy with the fake Russia-Russia-Russia investigation that went nowhere.&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HIjBaPb32i\">pic.twitter.com\/HIjBaPb32i<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SteveGuest\/status\/1835708721080471566?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 16, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Trump reiterated the message <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1835717973069197484\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in a post<\/a> on Monday on X.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Rhetoric, Lies, as exemplified by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-the-left-wing-media-promoted-a-baseless-covid-conspiracy-theory\/\" title=\"How The Left-Wing Media Promoted A Baseless COVID Conspiracy Theory\">false statements made<\/a> by Comrade Kamala Harris during the rigged and highly partisan ABC Debate, and all of the ridiculous lawsuits specifically designed to inflict damage on Joe&rsquo;s, then Kamala&rsquo;s, Political Opponent, ME, has taken politics in our Country to a whole new level of Hatred, Abuse, and Distrust,&rdquo; Trump said in his post. &ldquo;Because of this Communist Left Rhetoric, the bullets are flying, and it will only get worse!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s also the same message shared Sunday by former FBI Counterterrorism Agent Tim Clemente on CNN &mdash; who eerily predicted another assassination attempt if the current rhetoric about Trump continues.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I would think we&rsquo;re going to find that this guy is extremely politically motivated, Clemente <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/endwokeness\/status\/1835705935467106604?s=46&amp;t=VL7JYC49nocdyMkQaKwyJg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>, &ldquo;and that he probably was spurred on by much of the political diatribes that are going on these days, talking about Trump, equating him to Hitler, and things like that. So I don&rsquo;t think this is the last we&rsquo;ll see of crazies out there trying to do this right now.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Such &ldquo;diatribes&rdquo; include that from The Washington Post&rsquo;s Editor-at-Large Robert Kagan, who in a 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2023\/11\/30\/trump-dictator-2024-election-robert-kagan\/?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=wp_opinions&amp;utm_medium=social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">article<\/a> said a &ldquo;Trump dictatorship&rdquo; is &ldquo;increasingly inevitable&rdquo; &ldquo;unless something radical and unforeseen happens.&rdquo; Kagan also alleged that the Trump administration would be akin to Hitler&rsquo;s regime.<\/p>\n<p>Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/12\/19\/biden-trump-hitler-00132367\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">published an article<\/a> in December written by Holly Otterbein, Elena Schneider, and Jonathan Lemire that defended President Joe Biden&rsquo;s comparison of Trump to Hitler, arguing &ldquo;historians&rdquo; also agree with such assertions.<\/p>\n<p>Biden himself <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/07\/14\/politics\/biden-say-trump-shooting-bullseye\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s time to put Trump in the bullseye.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/15\/democrats-did-the-opposite-of-lower-the-temperature-between-trump-assassination-attempts\/?utm_source=rss&amp;utm_medium=rss&amp;utm_campaign=democrats-did-the-opposite-of-lower-the-temperature-between-trump-assassination-attempts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rhetoric continued<\/a> even <em>after<\/em> Trump was injured during the July assassination attempt. <\/p>\n<p>Democrat New Mexico Sen. Martin Heinrich <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/3rd-democrat-senator-calls-biden-step-aside-pressure-accelerates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called<\/a> Trump &ldquo;an existential danger to our democracy,&rdquo; a claim often used by members of his party, its propaganda machine, and the would-be assassin to vilify Trump. It&rsquo;s the type of propaganda designed to justify and incite the most egregious behavior and desensitize Americans, making future violence seem normal.<\/p>\n<p>After the second assassination attempt, The Cincinnati Enquirer <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Enquirer\/status\/1835702707505730032\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">published a submission<\/a> that justifies the attempt by saying that &ldquo;there is no place in politics for violence,&rdquo; but &ldquo;Trump brings a lot of this stuff on himself.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post&rsquo;s Philip Bump tried to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/09\/16\/another-chance-trump-frame-democrats-dangerous-has-emerged\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allege<\/a> that Democrats &mdash; who have spent months breathlessly calling Trump Hitler and a &ldquo;threat&rdquo; &mdash; are the real victims here, once again painting Trump as a threat and prepping justification for a potential third attempt. &ldquo;Another chance for Trump to frame Democrats as dangerous has emerged,&rdquo; Bump writes.  &ldquo;Trumpworld is eager to have Americans blame his opponents&rsquo; rhetoric for assassination attempts &mdash; both to nullify their arguments and to cast Trump as a victim.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But only a corporate media complex complicit in inciting violence (as Trump pointed out) would shift the blame to the victim to dodge accountability.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Brianna Lyman is an elections correspondent at The Federalist. This kind of discourse has been prevalent among various commentators; for instance, Robert Kagan from The Washington Post claimed in 2023 that a &#8220;Trump dictatorship&#8221; was becoming increasingly likely unless something drastic occurred.<\/p>\n<p>Politico also published an article defending President Biden&#8217;s comparison of Trump to Hitler, asserting it was supported by historians. Biden himself remarked it was time to target Trump politically. Even after Trump&#8217;s injury during a July assassination attempt, some Democrats continued using language labeling him as an existential threat to democracy\u2014a narrative often employed by party members and even Routh himself.<\/p>\n<p>Following another assassination attempt, The Cincinnati Enquirer featured commentary suggesting while violence is unacceptable in politics, Trump&#8217;s actions contribute significantly to such situations.
