His arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 30.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint against Routh said the gun found at the Trump International Golf Course was &ldquo;a loaded SKS-style, 7.62&times;39 caliber rifle with a scope,&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/live-updates\/trump-assassination-attempt-golf-course-shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>The serial number was &ldquo;obliterated and unreadable to the naked eye,&rdquo; &nbsp;the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>In an affidavit, FBI special agent Mark Thomas said that because the gun was not made in Florida, it was likely part of foreign or interstate commerce.<\/p>\n<p>A criminal complaint against Routh said that he had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-assassination-attempt-suspect-met-members-congress-2023-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waiting<\/a> hours before the sight of a gun barrel led a Secret Service agent to fire his weapon at where Routh was hiding.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Agents requested T-Mobile, on an emergency basis, to provide law enforcement with information pertaining to ROUTH&rsquo;s mobile phone usage,&rdquo; the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Those records indicated that Routh&rsquo;s mobile phone was located in the vicinity of the area along the tree line described above from approximately 1:59 AM until approximately 1:31 PM, on September 15, 2024,&rdquo; the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>As the case against Routh moves forward,&nbsp; Republican Florida Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ron-desantis-takes-matters-hands-wake-second-trump-assassination-attempt-people-deserve-truth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ron DeSantis<\/a> said it was important for Florida to perform a separate investigation because &ldquo;there is a need to make sure that the truth about all of this comes out in a way that is credible,&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/politics\/live-news\/trump-assassination-attempt-election-news-09-16-24#h_1fb444538ea946b77d9ff5d6880265b4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I understand that the Feds are involved but we do believe that there were multiple violations of state law.
