For 2024, the options are cookies with red sprinkles for former President Donald Trump and those with blue sprinkles for Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tim-walz-call-kamala-prostitutor-vp-pick-fire-comments-harris-leave-viewers-stunned\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kamala Harris<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The latest tally came before Tuesday&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/next-debate-not-happening-trump-speaks-polls-clearly-show-won-matchup-kamala\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">debate<\/a>, as WTFX reported the numbers exactly one week prior. While Tuesday may have shifted the tide, the cookies total bought up until that point said one thing: Trump is crushing Harris.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Trump 2024&rdquo; cookies had sold a total of 2,673 while &ldquo;Harris 2024&rdquo; cookies had only sold 291.<\/p>\n<p>These were the totals for the week, with both candidates seeing an increase in sales from the previous week.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>While buying cookies may seem like a silly way to predict an election, the candidate with the most cookies sold has won in every election except for 2020, when Trump outsold President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/top-democrat-left-appalled-biden-dhs-says-trump-assassination-report-will-shock-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a>, 31,804 to 5,750.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6361915293112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Owner Kathleen Lochel<\/a> told Todd Piro of &ldquo;Fox &amp; Friends First&rdquo; the cookies aren&rsquo;t just popular locally &mdash; they are shipped all over the country.<\/p>\n<p>Concerning the decision to order cookies for Trump or Harris, she said, &ldquo;They&rsquo;re [customers] telling us stories. A lot of people are upset right now with the cost of things, they&rsquo;re venting to us.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>She hastened to add that &ldquo;We stay neutral to everybody &mdash; we love all.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>While Lochel said about a third of her product goes outside Pennsylvania, as a critical swing state, she told Piro most of the cookies bought in-state were for Trump.<\/p>\n<p>In commenting on the election and the tally for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vance-drops-8-post-bomb-kamala-harris-completely-dismantles-right-trump-debate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Republican ticket<\/a>, she said, &ldquo;I think that people support Trump all over. The Trump name actually brings in a lot of business for many people.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>After 2016, when polling data was outrageously skewed in favor of Hillary Clinton, why not look to less typical methods like cookie sales for determining an election?<\/p>\n<p>It could indicate a lot of things.<\/p>\n<p>For one, Trump supporters may need to clean up their diets and hit the gym, while Harris supporters could be more health conscious.<\/p>\n<p>That obviously isn&rsquo;t the case, as anyone who&rsquo;s ever gone to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-crowd-angry-far-left-protesters-breaches-dnc-tears-perimeter-fencing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">left-wing rally<\/a> or protest can attest to.<\/p>\n<p>Jokes aside, it seems neither side should get comfortable with whatever predictions favor their candidate. They need to keep fighting until November.<\/p>\n<p>As of Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/substack.com\/@natesilver\/p-146002606\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statistician Nate Silver<\/a> was giving Trump a 61 percent chance of winning the electoral college.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2024\/09\/05\/allan_lichtmans_13_keys_to_the_white_house_predicts_kamala_harris_victory.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professor Allan Lichtman<\/a>&rsquo;s &ldquo;13 Keys to the White House&rdquo; on the other hand, called for a Harris victory earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Should we listen to the numbers guy, the historian or the cookies?
