Wade<\/a> by the Supreme Court in the summer of 2022, the issue has returned to the states for the people to decide.<\/p>\n<p>Harris pledged if elected to reinstitute <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/watch-harris-denounces-trump-abortion-bans-supports-restoring-roe-v-wade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roe by federal law<\/a>, if Congress passed the legislation.<\/p>\n<p>The vice president then claimed that Trump would sign a national abortion ban.<\/p>\n<p>Trump responded, &ldquo;There she goes again. He had previously stated it would not be an issue, because his position is that it belongs with the states to decide.<\/p>\n<p>Trump then rightly pointed out under Roe v. Wade, &ldquo;You could do abortions in the seventh month, the eighth month, the ninth month.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Harris asserted, &ldquo;That&rsquo;s not true.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, but it is, and as the former attorney general of California and a U.S. senator who served on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/destroyed-family-never-forget-kamala-harris-tried-ruin-brett-kavanaugh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Judiciary Committee<\/a> that approves federal judges, she knows that. No <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/megyn-kelly-torches-debate-moderators-exactly-bosses-wanted-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fact check<\/a> of her from the ABC moderators, of course.<\/p>\n<p>Roe allowed states to ban abortions in the third trimester, but it did not require them to, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/12\/01\/us\/politics\/roe-wade-supreme-court.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/house-passes-abortion-bills-post-roe-era\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">passed<\/a> legislation in 2022 that would have taken that ability away from states to protect late-term pre-born babies, as well as other restrictions allowed under Roe.
