I&rsquo;m convinced all of it was pre-written and they were going to call Kamala a warrior queen even if she had literally soiled herself on stage.<\/p>\n<p>New York Times &ldquo;The Daily&rdquo; podcast host Michael Barbaro <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/09\/11\/podcasts\/the-daily\/trump-harris-debate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Kamala &ldquo;dominated and enraged Donald Trump.&rdquo; Mike Allen at Axios <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/newsletters\/axios-am-2107b3f0-6fc8-11ef-bc0a-39308a9f5b4d.html?utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=newsletter_axiosam&amp;stream=top\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Kamala &ldquo;delivered for Democrats.&rdquo; The Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/09\/10\/harris-trump-presidential-debate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">heralded<\/a> her &ldquo;sharp, fiery&rdquo; performance.<\/p>\n<p>Politico embarrassingly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/playbook\/2024\/09\/11\/harris-alpha-female-debate-00178598?nname=playbook&amp;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nrid=0000014e-f115-dd93-ad7f-f915a6170001&amp;nlid=630318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dubbed<\/a> the night an &ldquo;alpha female debate,&rdquo; and its &ldquo;Playbook&rdquo; newsletter laid it on so thick, you&rsquo;d swear they let Kamala write it herself. &ldquo;HARRIS WINS,&rdquo; it said.&nbsp;&ldquo;If there&rsquo;s any one word to describe the secret to Trump&rsquo;s success in business and politics, it&rsquo;s&nbsp;<em>dominance<\/em>.&rdquo; In case you missed it the first time, Politico wrote again, &ldquo;there was a dominant presence on stage in Philadelphia, and it sure wasn&rsquo;t Trump.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A normal person who actually watched the debate, regardless of party affiliation, might have come away thinking either candidate eked out a win or possibly neither did. Without accusing him of being normal, Elon Musk, who has endorsed Trump, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1833743479773818939\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Kamala &ldquo;exceeded most peoples&rsquo; expectations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But what it wasn&rsquo;t was a decisive victory for Kamala. Even with <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/11\/the-debate-was-so-biased-it-was-divorced-from-reality-trump-should-refuse-to-do-another\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">non-stop, highly generous help<\/a> from the host network&rsquo;s two Democrat moderators, literally turning the affair into a three-against-one brawl, the vice president struggled. How could she not? Her campaign is attempting to make her appear new when she&rsquo;s not only currently occupying the White House but she wholeheartedly champions her administration&rsquo;s dismal record. She&rsquo;s pushing the triangle block into the circle hole with hopes that the media will help even if the whole thing cracks.<\/p>\n<p>Reuters, to its credit, ran <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/some-undecided-voters-not-convinced-by-harris-after-debate-with-trump-2024-09-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a story<\/a> on 10 American voters who said before the debate they were undecided on the candidates, but afterward, most of them, six, said they were either committed to Trump or leaning towards him.<\/p>\n<p>So much for &ldquo;DOMINATED.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times the next morning ran an unusually self-aware <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/09\/11\/us\/politics\/undecided-voters-react-debate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">story<\/a> under the headline, &ldquo;Pundits Said Harris Won the Debate. Undecided Voters Weren&rsquo;t So Sure.&rdquo; At the very bottom it described the sentiment of a Trump-leaning voter who watched the debate.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As he watched post-debate commentary on cable news, Mr. Henderson said he bristled at the pundits who widely panned Mr. Trump&rsquo;s performance,&rdquo; the article said. &ldquo;Had they watched the same debate, he wondered?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A media with the slightest capacity for self-reflection would say to themselves, &ldquo;Hmm, maybe we&rsquo;re a little too preoccupied with our personal political preferences and not considering a wider variety of possible perspectives.&rdquo; But that&rsquo;s not our media. They&rsquo;re doing the same thing now that they&rsquo;ve tried doing in the last two presidential elections &mdash; declare a winner before a single vote is even cast. Even Elon Musk, who supports Trump, remarked that Kamala &#8220;exceeded most people&#8217;s expectations.&#8221; However, it wasn&#8217;t a clear victory for her. Despite receiving continuous support from two Democratic moderators who turned the event into a three-on-one confrontation, the vice president faced challenges. Her campaign is trying to present her as fresh when she&#8217;s currently in office and fully endorses her administration&#8217;s poor track record. She\u2019s attempting to fit an incompatible narrative into public perception with hopes of media assistance.<\/p>\n<p>Reuters reported on ten American voters who were undecided before the debate; afterward, six leaned toward or committed to Trump. This undermines claims of being \u201cDOMINATED.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The following morning, The New York Times published an unusually introspective article titled \u201cPundits Said Harris Won the Debate. Undecided Voters Weren\u2019t So Sure.\u201d It included comments from a Trump-supporting viewer who questioned whether pundits had actually watched the same debate he did.<\/p>\n<p>A more self-aware media might reflect on their biases and consider broader perspectives rather than just their political leanings.
