On Tuesday, the court, which has a majority of liberal justices, heard from Ron Heuer, head of the Wisconsin Voters Alliance. The group is requesting that the state Supreme Court release records showing judges’ determinations regarding individuals deemed incompetent to vote to support their argument\u2014something that justices seem reluctant to do. Justice Jill Karofsky expressed concern during Tuesday’s arguments, suggesting that Heuer’s actions might be aimed at instilling fear about potential illegitimacy in Wisconsin’s elections. In response, attorney Erick Kaardal for Heuer and WVA stated their goal is to ensure only eligible individuals participate in voting and those ruled ineligible by a circuit court judge do not cast ballots.
