When she says ‘you’re a convicted felon,’ well no, part of the basis of that frivolous lawsuit, as attorneys will know that term. They were all frivolous. Party insiders and campaign representatives shared insights with the Washington Examiner on how each candidate can achieve success in this critical event. After taking over the Democratic ticket from President Joe Biden in July, Harris experienced a significant rise in polling but has struggled to maintain her lead over Trump since August, making it essential for her to gain momentum as Election Day approaches.

Trump views this debate as an opportunity to “reset his campaign” and clearly differentiate himself from Harris, according to Louis Perron, a global political consultant with a PhD and author of “Beat the Incumbent: Proven Strategies and Tactics to Win Elections.” He advised against trivial accusations like mocking her laughter; instead, he suggested linking her directly to unpopular decisions made by the current administration while maintaining a calm demeanor similar to his previous debate against Biden.

Conversely, Harris needs to project presidential qualities—an often-used but necessary approach she has been cultivating through her attire and speech since at least the convention—and should not hesitate to engage aggressively with Trump. Three seasoned Democratic strategists close to her 2024 campaign emphasized that she must be prepared for direct confrontation. One strategist noted that unlike Biden, who was more reserved during debates against Trump in 2016, Harris is better equipped due both age-wise and experience-wise.

Voters have echoed these sentiments recently when speaking with the Washington Examiner. Emily Pugliese, a 43-year-old policy expert from Philadelphia’s environmental nonprofit sector, believes that if Harris remains authentic while communicating clearly and concisely—something she excels at—she can cause Trump’s performance on stage to falter. Pugliese also mentioned that referring to him as a convicted felon would likely irritate him since it’s simply factual.

Kassel Coover from Chester County expressed hope that Harris would focus heavily on economic issues despite positive job reports indicating economic growth; many people still feel insecure about job availability. Caroline Bradley added that Harris shouldn’t feel pressured into being overly demure when countering Trump’s assertiveness; instead of allowing him portray himself as youthful or vigorous during their exchanges.

Supporters of Trump want him focused on honesty while contrasting his policies with those of the Biden-Harris administration. David Gehring pointed out Trump’s advantage lies in having concrete accomplishments compared with what he perceives as lackluster achievements by Harris during her time in office thus far.

Carolyn Dorazio urged Trump not only speak about his successes but also address legal challenges faced by opponents without resorting solely name-calling tactics which some supporters believe may backfire on him this time around; Gehring acknowledged there’s room for improvement regarding such behavior moving forward given all he has accomplished already

[32431,40529,4021,3634,32076
post-2339050","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-2024-election","tag-debate-strategies","tag-harris","tag-trump","tag-washington-examiner
["GET
