This is a decrease from Monday&rsquo;s price of $3.27. Tuesday&rsquo;s price was also cheaper than this time last week, when it cost $3.325, and a month ago, when gas was $3.45. Furthermore, Tuesday&rsquo;s price for regular gas is the lowest it has been since the winter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>Prices continue to fall across the country, and there are now 11 states where the average price for regular gas is below $3 per gallon: Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina, and Kansas. Below are the prices for a gallon of regular-grade gas in and around Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Delaware<\/h2>\n<p>The average price for regular gas in Delaware dropped to $3.087 on Tuesday. This was a decrease from Monday&rsquo;s price of $3.099. It&rsquo;s also a decrease from last week, when the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.167, and a month ago when it cost $3.441 per gallon. Gas prices in the First State continue to be the lowest in the Delmarva region. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maryland<\/h2>\n<p>On Tuesday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Maryland is $3.169. This is below that national average. Tuesday&rsquo;s gas prices in Maryland were also less expensive than the price of gas a week ago when it was $3.255 per gallon. Additionally, prices in Maryland are also cheaper than a month ago when it cost $3.492 per gallon for regular gas. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Virginia<\/h2>\n<p>In Virginia, the price for a gallon of regular gas cost $3.118 on Tuesday. This was a slight decrease from Monday when the cost was $3.127 per gallon. Prices were also cheaper than from a week ago when it cost $3.192 per gallon and a month ago when the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.358. Gas prices in Virginia were the second-least expensive in the Delmarva area. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Washington, D.C.<\/h2>\n<p>After increasing in price on Monday, gas prices were down again on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. with the average price for a gallon of regular gas now costing $3.517. This was much more expensive than the national average. Tuesday&rsquo;s pricing in the nation&rsquo;s capital is also cheaper than the average price of a gallon of regular gas, last week, when it cost $3.586. Additionally, gas prices today are cheaper than a month ago for Washington, D.C. residents when the price was $3.679 per gallon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">California<\/h2>\n<p>For the second-straight day, California remains the state with the most expensive gas in the country, surpassing Hawaii. On Tuesday, the average price in the state for a gallon of regular gas is $4.734. This was higher than a week ago in the Golden State when it cost $4.651 for a gallon of regular gas. It&rsquo;s also more expensive than a month ago, when the price for regular gas was $4.601.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mississippi<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Mississippi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Mississippi<\/a> had the least <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gas-prices-another-day-of-decreases-at-the-pumps-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Gas prices: Another day of decreases at the pumps - Washington Examiner\">expensive regular gas prices<\/a> in the country on Tuesday, at $2.777 per gallon.
