And second, their errors have all tended to favor Democratic presidential nominees, which suggests at least the possibility of design.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, former President Donald Trump received even better news than expected from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/09\/08\/us\/politics\/trump-and-harris-times-siena-poll.html?unlocked_article_code=1.JU4.ch6n.hSMZdsmYM4T5&amp;smid=url-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Times\/Siena College<\/a> poll released on Sunday, which showed him holding a one-point lead nationwide over Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of their presidential debate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>One Times writer called the result &ldquo;surprising&rdquo; but also noted that it could signal a shift toward Trump.<\/p>\n<p>In truth, however, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-poll-appears-show-significant-post-rfk-jr-bump-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shift began<\/a> when former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-trump-rfk-jr-s-unity-campaign-foreseen-christian-leader-2009\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">allied<\/a> with Trump last month.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>At an Arizona rally on Aug. 23, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/need-see-third-iconic-photo-trump-campaign-captures-epic-moment-trump-rfk-jr-unite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kennedy<\/a> announced his decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rfk-jr-considering-game-changing-move-join-forces-trump-according-running-mate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">join forces<\/a> with Trump and help save Americans from a Democrat-dominated establishment dedicated to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vance-blistering-reaction-liz-cheneys-endorsement-kamala-harris-best-thing-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perpetual war<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/zuckerberg-admits-bidens-damning-actions-facebook-sink-kamala-harris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">censorship<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ceo-alleges-biden-harris-administration-complicit-child-trafficking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attacks on children<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Times\/Siena poll, therefore, comes as a surprise only because of the establishment news outlet&rsquo;s honesty about its meaning.<\/p>\n<p>In late July, of course, Democratic elites staged a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/leftists-melt-new-york-times-columnist-tells-truth-democrats-coup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coup<\/a> to force President Joe Biden from the race. For weeks thereafter, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/latest-time-magazine-cover-takes-mainstream-medias-creepy-kamala-worship-new-level\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">establishment media<\/a> conducted Harris&rsquo;s campaign for her.<\/p>\n<p>It turns out, however, that the fawning press can only carry the weakest candidate in modern history for so long.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Mr. Trump may have had a rough month following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-taking-regeneron-drug-remdesivir-therapy-for-coronavirus-diagnosis-ex-wh-doctor-explains\/\" title=\"Trump taking Regeneron drug, Remdesivir therapy for coronavirus diagnosis: ex-WH doctor explains\">president&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s departure and amid the burst of excitement that Ms. Harris brought Democrats, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-in-tx-06-special-its-anybodys-game\/\" title=\"Poll: In TX-06 Special, It\u2019s Anybody\u2019s Game\">poll suggests<\/a> his support remains remarkably resilient,&rdquo; the Times admitted.<\/p>\n<p>Some voters undoubtedly have noticed that Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-terrified-press-conferences-harris-spokesman-refuses-commit-cnn-host-presses-live-air\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refuses to speak<\/a> except in the most scripted settings. Indeed, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/carson-points-out-that-every-democratic-plan-has-backfired-in-trumps-favor-as-seen-in-the-bible-2\/\" title=\"Carson points out that every Democratic plan has backfired in Trump&#039;s favor, as seen in the Bible\">vice president&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s reluctance to answer questions even from friendly reporters has reached <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-kamala-harris-goes-new-lengths-ensure-literally-cant-hear-questions-reporters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comic proportions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, some voters might have discovered her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-campaign-caught-deceptively-editing-trump-town-hall-footage-tell-blatant-lie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extreme dishonesty<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-compared-classic-cartoon-character-taking-fake-accent-far\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inauthenticity<\/a> and propensity for speaking in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rfk-jr-slams-kamala-harris-says-need-president-can-put-together-english-sentence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">word salads<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, surely those same voters have noticed her policy-related <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-set-begin-highly-choreographed-flip-flop-key-issues-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flip-flops<\/a> and spectacular failure as &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/multiple-house-democrats-side-republicans-vote-condemn-border-czar-kamala-harris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">border czar<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the reason for her decline in the polls, there is no question that the decline began long before the Times\/Siena poll registered it, for other establishment pollsters have noticed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/prominent-pollsters-election-model-shows-surge-trump-kamala-gets-bad-news-swing-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">same trend<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To understand the magnitude of Trump&rsquo;s lead, consider that the same pollster&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/f-w-de-klerk-apartheid-leader-who-released-mandela-dies-at-85\/\" title=\"F.W. de Klerk, Apartheid Leader Who Released Mandela, Dies at 85\">final set<\/a> of polls for the 2020 presidential election showed Biden with an 11-point lead in Wisconsin, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolling.com\/polls\/president\/general\/2020\/wisconsin\/trump-vs-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RealClearPolling<\/a>. But the state&rsquo;s certified results in that controversial election gave Biden a victory of less than one percentage point.<\/p>\n<p>The final Times\/Siena 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolling.com\/polls\/president\/general\/2020\/ohio\/trump-vs-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ohio<\/a> poll showed Biden ahead by one point. Trump prevailed by 8.1 points.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolling.com\/polls\/president\/general\/2020\/iowa\/trump-vs-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iowa<\/a>, Times\/Siena showed Biden with a three-point lead. Additionally, many voters might be aware of her dishonesty and lack of authenticity.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, these same voters likely recognize her inconsistent policy positions and notable failures as &#8220;border czar.&#8221; Regardless of why her approval ratings are declining now\u2014something other polls have also indicated\u2014it is clear that this trend started well before the latest Times\/Siena survey captured it.<\/p>\n<p>To grasp how significant Trump&#8217;s lead is perceived to be based on these polls: during the final polling phase before the 2020 election by this same organization showed Biden leading by 11 points in Wisconsin; however, he won that state by less than one percentage point according to certified results from that contentious election cycle.
