First, as he was arriving to to Miami&rsquo;s Hard Rock Stadium, he was handcuffed and forcibly placed face down by police, who allegedly stopped him for speeding and reckless driving. The arrest was caught on camera and was d and re-d on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Then, after scoring a touchdown in the Dolphins 20-17 victory over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jacksonville-jaguars-reportedly-already-make-decision-kirk-cousins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>, Hill and a teammate ridiculed the arrest in an end-zone celebration with a mock handcuffing of Hill &mdash; again going viral.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Hill managed to get his own version of events out in an impassioned post-game news conference, blaming the arrest on &ldquo;bad apples&rdquo; and saying, when notified that the police officer behind the arrest was put on administrative leave, &ldquo;that should tell you everything you need to know.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/dolphins-tyreek-hill-detained-b7818aea160bed284444594a689f453d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Associated Press<\/a>, the arrest happened outside the team&rsquo;s stadium Sunday morning and involved at least three unidentified officers, one of whom was placed on leave.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Tyreek Hill should not have been forcibly driven to the ground, handcuffed and handled so aggressively for a minor traffic violation heading into the stadium before the game. Didn&rsquo;t do none of that. This incident was captured on video and widely shared on social media. After scoring a touchdown in the Dolphins&#8217; 20-17 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hill and a teammate humorously referenced his arrest during their end-zone celebration by mimicking handcuffing him\u2014this too went viral. Finally, in a passionate post-game press conference, Hill expressed his frustration about the arrest, attributing it to &#8220;bad apples&#8221; among law enforcement and commenting that the officer involved was placed on administrative leave: &#8220;that should tell you everything you need to know.&#8221; According to The Associated Press, this arrest occurred outside the stadium that morning involving at least three unidentified officers.<\/p>\n<p>Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III criticized how Hill was treated for what he deemed a minor traffic violation in an X post that included footage of the incident: \u201cTyreek Hill should not have been forcibly driven to the ground&#8230; Period.\u201d Another Dolphins player, defensive tackle Calais Campbell, was briefly handcuffed while trying to assist Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Hill stated that he respects police officers and hopes to become one after his football career but claimed he didn\u2019t understand why they put him in handcuffs: \u201cI wasn\u2019t disrespectful because my mom didn\u2019t raise me that way,\u201d he said while expressing confusion over what transpired. However, ESPN\u2019s Jeff Darlington reported differently; sources indicated that after being pulled over for reckless driving, Hill engaged in a verbal altercation with police which led them to place him in cuffs.<\/p>\n<p>During discussions with reporters afterward, Hill touched upon racial implications of his experience\u2014he is Black\u2014and pondered how things might have unfolded if he weren&#8217;t a prominent athlete: \u201cWhat if I wasn\u2019t Tyreek Hill? Lord knows what would have happened.\u201d He recounted advice from his uncle about remaining calm during such encounters.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these events before kickoff, once inside the stadium following his touchdown celebration\u2014which humorously echoed earlier events\u2014Hill managed 130 yards from seven receptions according to ESPN statistics.<\/p>\n<p>In response to this incident involving Tyreek Hill&#8217;s arrest outside Hard Rock Stadium earlier that day before kickoff of their game against Jacksonville Jaguars Miami-Dade Police Department Director Stephanie V.
