Kennedy Jr. can withdraw his name from the ballots in those states. These rulings are seen as beneficial for Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump, who is closely competing against Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris in these key swing states, according to recent polls. Last month, Kennedy endorsed Trump during an event in Phoenix, Arizona, and announced his intention to remove his name from the ballots of ten crucial swing states to enhance Trump’s chances of winning.

Before Friday’s decisions, Kennedy had already succeeded in withdrawing from ballots in Arizona, Nevada, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. A court ruling last month also deemed him ineligible for the Georgia ballot. Additionally, he has removed his name from the Florida and Texas ballots as well. However, lower courts in North Carolina and Michigan had previously denied Kennedy’s requests on the grounds that they were submitted too late.

The Associated Press reported that North Carolina was set to mail its first absentee ballots on Friday; however, State Board of Elections attorney Paul Cox instructed election directors across all 100 counties to hold off on sending out current ballots following Friday’s ruling. So far this election cycle has seen over 2.9 million printed absentee and early voting ballots.

Cox mentioned that no decision has been made regarding a potential appeal against the appellate court’s ruling by state officials. In Michigan’s case, a three-judge Court of Appeals stated that while Kennedy’s request came close to the deadline for notifying local election officials about candidates’ names on the ballot, it was not too late for laches (a legal doctrine) to apply; thus granting him a clear legal right to withdraw his candidacy due to lack of statutory prohibition against such action.

Previously denied by Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s office when he sought removal from the ballot earlier this year—Angela Benander from her office indicated they were still evaluating whether or not they would appeal this latest appellate decision before potentially taking it up with a Michigan Supreme Court where Democratic-nominated justices hold a slight majority.

In Wisconsin last month though determined initially that RFK Jr.’s name would remain listed on their ballot; he subsequently filed suit Wednesday seeking an override of their decision according AP reports indicating support for him nationally dropped approximately 3 percentage points down around 5 percent after President Joe Biden exited race leaving Harris at helm top ticket instead.

Despite holding some liberal views particularly concerning environmental issues & abortion rights among remaining supporters—Newsweek noted surveys conducted by New York Times/Siena College & Emerson College revealed more votes drawn towards Trump than Harris: In Times survey findings showed 41% backing Trump while only 27% favored Harris if faced head-to-head matchup whereas Emerson found breakdowns at even higher rates with respective figures being reported as 64% favoring Trump compared with just 36% supporting Harris indicating potential net gain between one or two percent boost resulting directly attributed RFK Jr.’s endorsement which could prove pivotal determining outcomes within battleground areas like North Carolina & Michigan where margins currently hover around one percentage point or less based upon Real Clear Politics average polling data available thus far

[40332,32438,40333,32115,3634
post-2338044","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-court-of-appeals","tag-kamala-harris","tag-major-ruling","tag-swing-states","tag-trump
["GET
