Nevertheless, the amendment&#8217;s supporters are moving forward with their campaign, despite significant\u200d opposition \u2062from various groups\u200c and the general\u2063 public.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Some of the biggest proponents of Florida&rsquo;s proposed unlimited abortion ballot measure are encouraging and even helping underage girls seeking abortions to circumvent state laws requiring parental consent.<\/p>\n<p>The &ldquo;Yes on 4&rdquo; campaign, which is responsible for promoting a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/initiativepetitions.elections.myflorida.com\/InitiativeForms\/Fulltext\/Fulltext_2307_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">proposed amendment<\/a>&nbsp;that would effectively enshrine abortion through birth in the Sunshine State&rsquo;s constitution and eliminate safeguards designed to protect women and children, featured information on its <a href=\"https:\/\/floridiansprotectingfreedom.com\/?page_id=2068\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">now-scrubbed &ldquo;Resources&rdquo;<\/a> page that links to websites explaining how teens can obtain abortions without involving their parents, as mandated by Florida law.<\/p>\n<p>An archived version of the page also warns girls and women away from <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/13\/a-pregnancy-care-center-helped-me-become-a-mom-and-a-follower-of-jesus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/at-democrats-bidding-google-and-yelp-censor-searches-for-life-saving-pregnancy-centers\/\" title=\"At Democrats\u2019 Bidding, Google And Yelp Censor Searches For Life-Saving Pregnancy Centers\">life-saving pregnancy centers<\/a><\/a> by claiming they are &ldquo;fake clinics&rdquo; that &ldquo;may try to trick and shame you&rdquo; and &ldquo;use tactics to delay your decision-making until it&rsquo;s too late to have an abortion.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The first link on the &ldquo;Yes on 4&rdquo; website takes users to <a href=\"https:\/\/floridareprofreedom.org\/abortionislegalinflorida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Floridians for Reproductive Freedom&rsquo;s (FRF) guidance<\/a>, which boasts of connecting girls who &ldquo;cannot involve a parent&rdquo; with attorneys who can finagle a judicial bypass &ldquo;without your parent&rsquo;s involvement.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Directly below FRF&rsquo;s advice on how to skirt the state&rsquo;s parental consent law, the pro-abortion group tells girls and women how they can obtain dangerous abortion drugs, which are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/public-health-threat-chemical-abortion-leads-to-significantly-higher-rate-of-er-visits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">responsible<\/a>&nbsp;for a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/07\/federal-judge-says-fda-wrongfully-approved-abortion-pill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">500 percent increase<\/a>&nbsp;in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/women-misrepresenting-chemical-abortions-as-miscarriages-at-increased-risk-of-multiple-hospitalizations-study-finds\/\" title=\"Women Misrepresenting Chemical Abortions As Miscarriages At Increased Risk Of Multiple Hospitalizations, Study Finds\">abortion-related emergency room<\/a>, by mail.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>FRF&rsquo;s chatbot Charley, <a href=\"https:\/\/flvoicenews.com\/florida-group-touting-amendment-4-urges-minors-to-obtain-abortion-without-parents-involved\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the amendment&rsquo;s opponents at the &ldquo;No On 4&rdquo; campaign pointed out<\/a>, &ldquo;falsely claims that &lsquo;abortion is medically safe no matter how far along someone is in their pregnancy,&rsquo;&rdquo; &ldquo;advises minors to travel to Puerto Rico for abortions,&rdquo; &ldquo;offers &lsquo;websites to find [abortion] pills right now&rsquo; without asking basic screening questions,&rdquo; and &ldquo;even asserts that it is &lsquo;safe to have your abortion at home &hellip; even if you have not seen a doctor or nurse first.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Ron DeSantis rails against &#8220;misleading&#8221; abortion ballot initiative while speaking to faith leaders<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Abortion would be the one thing that a minor could go behind their parents&#8217; back and do without consent [&hellip;] It guarantees abortion all the way until the moment&hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vlKKVrAcVO\">pic.twitter.com\/vlKKVrAcVO<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&mdash; Florida&rsquo;s Voice (@FLVoiceNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FLVoiceNews\/status\/1806388886244876662?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 27, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Media, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/news\/politics-government\/article287413585.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">insisted<\/a> because the <a href=\"https:\/\/dos.elections.myflorida.com\/initiatives\/initdetail.asp?account=83927&amp;seqnum=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">amendment claims<\/a> not to &ldquo;change the Legislature&rsquo;s constitutional authority to require notification to a parent or guardian before a minor has an abortion,&rdquo; the end of parental consent isn&rsquo;t guaranteed. <\/p>\n<p>Yet, even the fake fact-checkers at PolitiFact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politifact.com\/article\/2024\/may\/01\/if-floridas-abortion-rights-amendment-passes-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admit<\/a> that the Planned Parenthood, ACLU, and George Soros-funded abortion activists responsible for coordinating the wave of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ar-abortion-measure-disqualified-after-activists-fail-to-follow-law\/\" title=\"AR Abortion Measure Disqualified After Activists Fail To Follow Law\">ballot measure battles<\/a> in red states like Ohio often <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/newsroom\/press-releases\/aclu-sues-to-remove-informed-consent-in-ohio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pursue legal challenges<\/a> that use the vague language in the radical amendments to cut parents out of the equation.<\/p>\n<p>Parental consent is not the only problem Amendment 4 poses to Floridians. If the proposal passes on Nov. 5, medical professionals in Florida could deem abortion at any stage of pregnancy necessary for a woman&rsquo;s &ldquo;health,&rdquo; physical, emotional, or mental.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/religion\/2022\/05\/06\/americas-abortion-quandary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">56 percent<\/a> of Americans say parents should have to give their child permission to get an abortion. Overall, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/poll-majority-of-americans-still-reject-democrats-unlimited-abortion-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">55 percent of Americans<\/a>&nbsp;think ending life in the womb beyond the start of the second trimester, around 14 weeks gestation, should be &ldquo;generally illegal.&rdquo; In Florida specifically, at least 62 percent of voters, including 58 percent of women, <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/SBA_FL-STW_Benchmark_Memo_v2.0_230307.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">say they favor<\/a> the state&rsquo;s six-week abortion limit. <\/p>\n<p>Despite Floridians&rsquo; strong opposition to the extremism presented to them via Amendment 4, <a href=\"https:\/\/dos.elections.myflorida.com\/committees\/ComDetail.asp?account=83927\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">out-of-state activists<\/a> have poured <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/floridians-protecting-freedom-campaign-raises-30-million-for-amendment-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">millions of dollars<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/02\/florida-supreme-court-rules-to-allow-deceptive-abortion-amendment-on-november-ballot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deception<\/a>,&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/newsroom\/press-releases\/fl-pro-abortion-activists-arrested-for-phony-petition-signatures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fraudulent signatures<\/a> into passing it.<\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump, who publicly expressed discomfort with Florida&rsquo;s current heartbeat law, recently rejected the &ldquo;radical&rdquo; amendment because it seeks to allow abortions through all nine months of pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;All of that stuff is unacceptable.
