Sun wielded her position of influence among executives to covertly promote PRC and CCP agendas, directly threatening our country&rsquo;s national security,&rdquo; FBI Acting Assistant Director Christie Curtis said.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment said while working in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ny-gov-kathy-hochul-scrambles-to-get-businesses-to-stay-tries-to-downplay-massive-fine-against-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Executive Chamber<\/a> of New York state government, Sun did the bidding of China and its Communist Party by blocking access to state officials by representatives of Taiwan and using her position to issue communications that supported China&rsquo;s agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Sun also issued <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fbi-conducts-pre-dawn-raid-home-ny-gov-kathy-hochuls-former-deputy-chief-staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unauthorized invitation letters<\/a> to Chinese officials that fraudulently allowed those officials into the country<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/china-setting-secret-spy-base-100-miles-us-mainland-biden-admin-alarmed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">China<\/a> showered millions of dollars upon Sun and Hu, the release said, including &ldquo;Nanjing-style salted ducks prepared by a PRC government official&rsquo;s personal chef that were delivered to the residence of Sun&rsquo;s parents&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Through the deal, the couple could afford a $4.1 million home in Manhasset, New York, a $2.1 million home in Honolulu and luxury vehicles. Sun is alleged to have never reported this to state officials, as required.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This individual was hired by the Executive Chamber more than a decade ago. We terminated her employment in March 2023 after discovering evidence of misconduct, immediately reported her actions to law enforcement and have assisted law enforcement throughout this process,&rdquo; Hochul&rsquo;s office said in a statement, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7ny.com\/post\/former-aide-gov-kathy-hochul-husband-arrested-manhasset-home-after-fbi-search-long-island\/15263135\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WABC-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The couple&rsquo;s Long Island home was raided by the FBI in July. At that time, a report in the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/24\/us-news\/fbi-raids-former-hochul-aides-3-5m-long-island-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> said that Sun <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-conducts-pre-dawn-raid-at-home-of-ny-gov-kathy-hochuls-former-deputy-chief-of-staff\/\" title=\"FBI Conducts Pre-Dawn Raid at Home of NY Gov. The source said the incident was referred to law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>Sun spent about 14 years in state government, with duties related to business development, Asian-American affairs, and diversity.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsday.com\/long-island\/nassau\/fbi-manhassent-home-raid-linda-sun-hrwvbfhf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newsday<\/a>, Sun began a 15-month stint in the governor&rsquo;s office after Hochul succeeded former Gov.
