They&rsquo;ve tried to claim that a woman whose office was <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/23\/92-percent-of-kamala-harris-staff-left-in-her-first-three-years-as-vp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">described<\/a> by her own staff as &ldquo;soul-destroying&rdquo; will bring back <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/article\/kamala-harris-and-the-new-politics-of-joy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;joy&rdquo;<\/a> to American politics and that one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/kamala-harris-receives-worst-vice-presidential-rating-nbc-news-polls-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most reviled<\/a> vice presidents in modern history is actually the nation&rsquo;s darling.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, the media reported that Harris played a critical role in Biden&rsquo;s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/04\/25\/harris-afghanistan-biden-withdrawal-decision-484581\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stated<\/a> that Harris &ldquo;was the last person in the room&rdquo; before Biden made the decision to pull out. The Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/08\/07\/kamala-harris-biden-afghanistan-withdrawal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">characterized<\/a> Harris as &ldquo;as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-cant-hide-harris-role-in-botched-afghanistan-withdrawal\/\" title=\"Dems Can&#039;t Hide Harris&#039; Role In Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">vice president<\/a> deeply involved<\/a> in key moments.&rdquo; The Los Angeles Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/politics\/story\/2021-08-18\/kamala-harris-u-s-withdrawal-from-afghanistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a> that Harris was &ldquo;front and center as President Biden has overseen America&rsquo;s retreat from Afghanistan.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Yet the media <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/08\/26\/three-years-later-democrats-cant-obfuscate-kamala-harris-role-in-botched-afghanistan-withdrawal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">screeched in unison<\/a> when former President Donald Trump correctly identified Biden and Harris as the primary culprits behind the debacle that resulted in the deaths of 13 American servicemembers. Now the media is trying desperately to separate (Vice President!) Harris from Biden&rsquo;s administration entirely, with outlets firing out patently ridiculous headlines like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/politico-scolded-insisting-vance-tried-tether-harris-biden-shes-literally-his-vice-president\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Politico&rsquo;s doozy<\/a>: &ldquo;Vance tries to tether Harris to Biden during Michigan rally.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>One of the more egregious examples came from The Washington Post on Tuesday. The outlet attempted to &ldquo;prove&rdquo; that Biden&rsquo;s disastrous tenure will in no way negatively affect Harris&rsquo; electoral prospects with a nifty little graph. &ldquo;The GOP is trying hard to tie Harris more closely to Biden on the economy, immigration and the border,&rdquo; Washington Post Senior Political Reporter Aaron Blake claimed. &ldquo;One big problem: Americans don&rsquo;t think she played a particularly central role.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Blake included a graph taken from his article (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/08\/27\/kamala-harris-trump-bidenomics-border\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">headlined<\/a> &ldquo;Why Biden isn&rsquo;t dragging down Harris&rdquo;) that showed that only 11 percent of Americans believe Harris has had a &ldquo;great deal of influence&rdquo; on Biden&rsquo;s economic policy. The chart says so, so it must be true! But take a look at that graph again. <\/p>\n<p>Did you notice that there&rsquo;s not an option for &ldquo;no influence?&rdquo; The least amount of influence respondents can choose is &ldquo;very little.&rdquo; That means 64 percent of respondents believe she has at least some influence on economic policy and 66 percent believe she has at least some on immigration policy. What&rsquo;s more, 100 percent of Americans believe that she has at least a little influence on both issues, according to this poll.<\/p>\n<p>In short, the poll shows that everybody believes Harris has at least a little influence in the White House, but The Washington Post wants readers to believe the poll proves that Harris has totally separated herself from the toxic dumpster fire of the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, people who don&rsquo;t mindlessly swallow everything the biased media feeds them know that Harris was indeed &ldquo;front and center&rdquo; on the two issues that matter most to voters this election cycle. As already mentioned, she <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/after-years-of-regaling-vp-as-border-czar-media-claim-harris-was-never-in-charge-of-the-invasion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">served<\/a> as the border czar for years, during which she only managed to squeeze in one heavily staged visit to the southern border. On the economy, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/vp-harris-tiebreaker-votes-senate-were-key-inflation-boosting-biden-policies-expert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cast the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/schumer-dems-will-pass-covid-relief-bill-with-or-without-gop\/\" title=\"Schumer: Dems will pass COVID relief bill with or without GOP\">tie-breaking vote<\/a><\/a> in the Senate to pass both the Inflation Reduction Act and the American Rescue Plan, both of which contributed to the runaway inflation that has plagued Biden&rsquo;s time in office and made Americans poorer.<\/p>\n<p>Just because she was completely incompetent on both issues doesn&rsquo;t mean she had no influence.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s crystal clear to any casual observer that Harris&rsquo; campaign is only being kept afloat by a pervasive and cynical media effort. Harris from Biden&#8217;s administration entirely, with headlines like Politico\u2019s: \u201cVance tries to tether Harris to Biden during Michigan rally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A particularly notable instance came from The Washington Post recently when it sought to demonstrate that Biden&#8217;s troubled presidency would not adversely impact Harris&#8217; electoral chances through an illustrative graph.
