(AP Photo\/Alex Brandon)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Steven Cheung, the Trump campaign&rsquo;s communications director, told the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3136254\/trump-campaign-disputes-allegations-altercation-arlington\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Washington Examiner<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;earlier this week that the unnamed staffer was &ldquo;clearly suffering from a&nbsp;mental health episode,&rdquo; adding, &ldquo;The fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises, and for whatever reason, an unnamed individual &hellip; decided to physically block members of President Trump&rsquo;s team during a very solemn ceremony.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The employee reported the incident but decided not to press charges. &ldquo;This incident was unfortunate, and it is also unfortunate that the ANC employee and her professionalism has been unfairly attacked,&rdquo; an Army <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3137735\/army-backs-arlington-cemetery-employee-trump-campaign-altercation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>statement said<\/a>. &ldquo;ANC is a national shrine to the honored dead of the Armed Forces, and its dedicated staff will continue to ensure public ceremonies are conducted with the dignity and respect the nation&rsquo;s fallen deserve.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> reached out to the Trump campaign about Harris&rsquo;s comments.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&rsquo;s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), dismissed the event as a media overreaction. He blasted Harris&rsquo;s response to the 13 service members who died in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;To have those 13 Americans lose their lives and not fire a single person is disgraceful.
