He was found the next morning on July 12 and spent the day in bed,&rdquo; the report said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;On the morning of July 13, he was found unresponsive on the bedroom floor. Trazodone is used to treat depression. Zolpidem addresses insomnia.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-richard-simmons-fitness-guru-mixed-laughs-sweat-dies-76\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Simmons<\/a> family gave <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/richard-simmons-cause-of-death-accidental-brother-lenny-simmons-confirms-people-exclusive-8699276\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People<\/a> a preview of what the report would say.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This morning, Richard Simmons&rsquo; brother Lenny, received a call from the LA Coroner&rsquo;s office. The Coroner informed Lenny that Richard&rsquo;s death was accidental due to complications from recent falls and heart disease as a contributing factor,&rdquo; the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The toxicology report was negative other than medication Richard had been prescribed.
