Yelp filed its lawsuit in San Francisco court, alleging that Google manipulates results to promote its own offerings when a customer searches for such results on Google. That allows Google to unfairly outperform its rivals, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Google blasted Yelp, saying its claims &ldquo;are not new.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Yelp&rsquo;s claims are not new. Similar claims were thrown out years ago by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ftc.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/public_statements\/statement-commission-regarding-googles-search-practices\/130103brillgooglesearchstmt.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FTC<\/a>, and recently by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/outreach-initiatives\/public-policy\/court-dismisses-state-ag-claims-about-google-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">judge<\/a>&nbsp;in the DOJ&rsquo;s case. On the other aspects of the decision to which Yelp refers, we are appealing.
