And that involves serious constitutional pitfalls.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Levying a tax on someone&rsquo;s projected future income before they have full claim to it themselves also raises deeper questions about individual property rights, financial privacy, and due process,&rdquo; per Cato.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, Ramamurti found the objections to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/harris-campaign-says-lie-kamala-backs-ev-mandates-record-tells-different-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harris&rsquo;<\/a> plan amusing.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think that this reaction to unrealized gains is a little funny given that I bet that the majority of people watching right now are already paying a tax on unrealized gains. It&rsquo;s called a property tax,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>That drew a sharp reaction from Kernen.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Property tax,&rdquo; the co-host said in a tone of disgust and disbelief.<\/p>\n<p>Then, Quick correctly described a property tax as a &ldquo;use tax.&rdquo; In other words, property owners pay taxes to support local schools.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Ramamurti tried to conflate the two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-calls-record-high-taxes-closing-50-rate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">taxes<\/a>. But the co-hosts would not allow it.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s not the same,&rdquo; Kernen said.<\/p>\n<p>Ramamurti continued gaslighting viewers about the tax&rsquo;s purpose. And in the ideas they have advanced, they have shown a brazen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-straight-stealing-another-trump-vance-campaign-promise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lack of originality<\/a>, not to mention a disposition toward hitherto-catastrophic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/even-wapo-cant-defend-kamala-already-called-communist-maybe-dont-propose-price-controls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Communist-style policies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-terrified-press-conferences-harris-spokesman-refuses-commit-cnn-host-presses-live-air\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">campaign operatives<\/a> will speak to the press, but Harris herself will not.
