While he has tried to take his name off the ballot in swing states,<strong> <\/strong>he has had little success. He will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3136027\/rfk-jr-ballot-key-swing-states-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>appear on the ballot<\/a> in the swing states of Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. The Kennedy campaign inferred his ballot access could be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3119754\/rfk-jr-ballot-access-threatened-new-york-rejection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>threatened in dozens of other states<\/a> where he used the New York address, but the matter became moot after his exit from the race.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Michigan<\/h3>\n<p>Following Kennedy&rsquo;s exit from the race, Michigan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/rfk-jr-map-on-the-ballot-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>said<\/a> it was too late for Kennedy to withdraw his name from the ballot. Nevada and North Carolina also said it was too late for Kennedy to withdraw his name, and Wisconsin certified his appearance on its ballot this week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Minor party candidates cannot withdraw, so his name will remain on the ballot in the November election,&rdquo; Cheri Hardmon, senior press secretary for Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/08\/27\/michigan-rfk-jr-ballot-2024-trump?utm_campaign=editorial&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>told <em>Axios<\/em><\/a><em>.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the Wolverine State, Kennedy was polling at around 2% of the vote, which equates to about 167,820 votes. In 2016, due in part to the presence of third-party candidates, Trump narrowly beat former Secretary of State Hillary&nbsp;Clinton by less than a percentage point, or 10,700 votes.
