Clay Higgins (R-LA) has stated he went to examine Crooks&rsquo;s body on Aug. 5, but that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/fbi-fires-back-claims-released-crooks-body-cremation-days-after-trump-assassination-attempt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>it was released to the Crooks family 10 days after the shooting<\/a> on July 23. The FBI has stated that the body was released in coordination with the coroner&rsquo;s office, along with state and local law enforcement partners, &ldquo;in keeping with normal procedures.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Johnson added that these agencies do not think they can come under scrutiny by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/congress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Congress<\/a> and the public, and that it is up to them to decide what information will be released and when it is released.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The task force investigation is expected to conclude and produce a final report by Dec. 13, although lawmakers are expected to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-assassination-task-force-begins-with-slew-of-requests-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Trump assassination task force begins with slew of requests - Washington Examiner\">release interim reports<\/a> along the way, according to House Speaker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/mike-johnson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Mike Johnson<\/a> (R-LA).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, House Republicans conducting their own independent investigation on Trump&rsquo;s assassination attempt, led by Reps. Cory Mills (R-FL) and Eli Crane (R-AZ), will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3131324\/rogue-task-force-sidesteps-johnson-hearing-trump-assassination-attempt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>hold a &ldquo;forum&rdquo; on Monday<\/a>.
