He also appears calm walking between vendors&rsquo; tents, giving no indication of what he was about to do.<\/p>\n<p>Context surrounding the video makes it look much worse.<\/p>\n<p>At the time it was taken, a local police sniper had already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/lost-sight-concerning-law-enforcement-text-messages-just-trump-shooting-released\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alerted his colleagues<\/a> on security at the rally of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cheatle-describes-the-30-minutes-between-noticing-and-neutralizing-the-shooter-as-a-brief-period\/\" title=\"Cheatle describes the 30 minutes between noticing and neutralizing the shooter as a brief period\">suspicious person &#038;mdash<\/a>; who later turned out to be Crooks.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Someone followed our lead and snuck in and parked by our cars just so you know,&rdquo; the sniper&rsquo;s earliest text reads.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m just letting you know because you see me go out with my rifle and put it in my car so he knows you guys are up there,&rdquo; the text continues, &ldquo;he&rsquo;s sitting to the direct right on a picnic table about 50 yards from the exit.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Security would apparently lose sight of Crooks, only taking serious notice as he was on the roof and preparing to fire a volley at Trump.<\/p>\n<p>A chaotic response followed, with the shot that put downed Crooks&rsquo; gun apparently coming from a SWAT operator on-scene at the time.
